To fabricate, form, roll, joggle, punch, pierce, blank, and press a variety of sheet metal aircraft details\. May be required to work with higher grade operators while in training\.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Setup and operate various sizes of form, roll, joggle, punch, pierce, blank, and press equipment to fabricate aircraft details to specified dimensions, tolerances, and company specifications\. Utilize a variety of tools, blueprints, measuring instruments, and shop aids\. Plan and layout
operational and set up sequences\. Perform routine duties in loading/unloading raw material as well as hand forming and straightening operations\.
o Uses oil or soap solution to lubricate details, places material on forming device along with necessary coverings to ensure correct form\.
o Monitors equipment and notifies supervision or maintenance of any problems\.
o Manage/adjust amount of pressure necessary according to form requirements and learns to set equipment appropriately\.
o Visually checks tooling to prevent damage to equipment and formed details\.
* Utilize tool moving equipment as required and maintain and store tools\.
* Responsible for the quality of own work\.
* Performs other related duties as required\.
