We are currently seeking an experienced Application Engineer based in our mobile hydraulic headquarters in Savage, MN. The focus for this position is to provide value added services that will enhance the salability of SunSource products as a system. You will accomplish this by interfacing with customers and vendors to resolve system conflicts including electrical and hydraulic systems.

Specifically you will:

Design complete hydrostatic, hydraulic and electrical systems and testing Provide technical assistance with micro controllers including systems design and programming Provide training to internal associates and customer


Responsibilities:


Technically support all Mobile products. Interface with our customers and vendors to resolve system conflicts including electrical and hydraulic systems. Design complete systems including hydrostatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Provide technical assistance with micro controllers including systems design and programming. Provide technical training to SunSource associates and also customer specific applications. Produce electrical and hydraulic schematics using a CAD program. Provide technical testing for hydraulic/hydrostatic systems using data acquisition tools. Provide technical testing for electrical systems using frequency generators and VO meters. Improve customer relationships using a technical viewpoint. Interest in machine electronic control.


Required Qualifications:


2 year technical degree in Fluid Power or Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience 2+ years Application Engineering or support experience with hydraulic and or electrical systems SolidWorks Cad design program Able to interpret and create hydraulic schematics Fluid Power Certification a plus

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Applications Engineer for our Power Systems Division in Elkridge, Maryland. The Application Engineer is responsible for assisting consulting engineers and contractors in designing complex power system facilities and equipment, including Power quality equipment. This position works under direction of a Senior Application Engineer in Diesel and Gas fueled electric power systems for emergency and prime power application, including switchgear, UPS, CHP, and other auxiliary systems. In addition, this role assesses power needs to ensure electrical loading and sizing parameters are accurately defined. This individual performs calculations for sizing generators, UPS devices, circuit breakers, cables and disconnects. Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years' experience in electrical power systems. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering required.
Requirements for the Applications Engineer position include:


Self-starter able to work with limited supervision; capable of developing objectives, setting priorities, and implementing ideas in a timely manner. Ability to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must maintain a good level of product knowledge and market trends. Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to perform calculations for sizing of circuit breakers, wires and disconnects. Must be able to prepare and read drawings to be used in construction and equipment installation. Able to write and modify specifications; read and interpret contract documents. Proven ability to understand, interpret and meet complex customer needs through the preparation of proposal and other documentation. Able to train new Engineers effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Willing to travel and work hours required by the job.


Physical requirements must be met for the Applications Engineer job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.

The Systems Engineer III - Application Support - supports the enterprise applications at CME Group, primarily in the areas of clearing, referential and regulatory applications in the customer facing environments. Troubleshoots known and new issues, determines the root cause, provides solutions and takes initiative to resolve it. Verifies implementation and make adjustments as necessary, documents the solution and provides clarification and support to others.
Responsibilities:


Provide Level 2 Application Support Troubleshoot an incident and take that to closure. Engage Dev/L3 team as needed and share initial findings and details with stakeholders. Participate in Bridge Call for any incident and drive the same & share the updates with stakeholders on timely basis. Perform root cause analysis and document SOP as needed. Bridge the gap between support and engineering team and participate in various meetings/sessions for the same. Participate in knowledge sessions/meetings with stakeholders and document/share the same with team.


Qualifications:


5+ years of experience in IT Industry. Very good working experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Linux/Unix, Windows. Understanding of current and emerging technologies. Experience in a Cloud environment is preferred. Knowledge about Swift applications/Architecture and its Deployments. Knowledge of Powershell and Windows administration. Java experience is preferred. UC4 or other scheduling tool experience is preferred. Strong analytical and debugging skill required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
