JOB DESCRIPTION As an Apprentice Electrician you will work under the guidance of a Journeyman level electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate will be working towards a career in the trade with Facility Solutions Group. An Apprentice Electrician will: Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit. Trace out short circuits in wiring. Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors. Maintain tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order. Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Help in securing, relocating and organizing materials, small tools, and equipment from and back to appropriate storage areas. Keep work area clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse. Assists in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials. May operate hand tools and equipment under direct supervision of a Foreman or more senior electrician. Assists in mounting and strapping conduit. Assists more senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision. Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor. An apprentice electrician will not work on energized circuits or equipment.

The Foreman is responsible for monitoring installations and ensuring work is performed according to Rosendin standards and project specifications. Provide General Foreman with sufficient notice of any crew changes.
Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
Ensure crew members start and finish work shift on time; Maintain proper meal/break times per as legally required per local labor laws and regulations.
Conduct effective performance evaluations of crew members.
Maintain complete and accurate “as-builts” as per Rosendin procedures and project requirements.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crew members, etc.
Ensure all work performed meets with NEC, federal, state, county, local codes and contract documents.
Adhere to all Rosendin, state and federal safety policies and procedures.

YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The Foreman is responsible for monitoring installations and ensuring work is performed according to Rosendin standards and project specifications. Work cooperatively with the general contractor and/or customer in managing the project, project schedule and employees. Responsible for maintaining productivity, safety, quality control, labor cost, scheduling, movement of manpower, procurement of materials and any other activities impacting the successful completion of the project.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Achieve Rosendin productivity objectives by effectively managing and assigning tasks to crew members, while maintaining an accurate labor tracking log.
Establish project goals and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis.
Manage purchase orders and ensure ordered materials are received while adhering to bulk buy material procedures.
Adhere to project contract document changes and Rosendin change order notice-to-proceed policies.
Fully utilize a prefabrication facility and company-wide installation methods and policies.
Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work.
Provide General Foreman with sufficient notice of any crew changes.
Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
Ensure crew members start and finish work shift on time; Maintain proper meal/break times per as legally required per local labor laws and regulations.
Conduct effective performance evaluations of crew members.
Maintain complete and accurate ”as-builts” as per Rosendin procedures and project requirements.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crew members, etc.
Ensure all work performed meets with NEC, federal, state, county, local codes and contract documents.
Adhere to all Rosendin, state and federal safety policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

5+ years of electrical experience
