GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Planning and Development Services, this position assists and performs a variety of skilled field inspections and office work involved in the enforcement of adopted building codes and regulations regarding electrical installations. The duties include inspecting new construction, remodeling, repairs, reviewing plans and specifications to ensure compliance with the City codes and City's electrical code. SUPERVISION EXERCISED The Inspector - Electrical Apprentice exercises no supervision. The Inspector - Electrical I exercises direct supervision over the Inspector - Electrical Apprentice.
