In this role you will assist our underground drill teams to complete assigned projects working around both standard and high-risk areas with live utilities. Why TAK? The Role Assist drill operators and locators with equipment to complete assigned projects Will work in and around both standard and high-risk areas with live utilities Will learn about utility depths and placements Ensure vehicles, equipment and tools are properly maintained, in good repair and secured in a safe manner Review field designs and work with drill team to communicate discrepancies to supervisor for change orders Properly document all work completed to include pothole and bore logs Will learn and assist with conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement and fiber/coax placement as needed Complete general restoration and cleanup Complete all projects with safety as the #1 priority, ensuring compliance with internal safety standards and all governmental orders Other duties as assigned Requirements: Underground telecommunications construction or installation experience (entry level will not need experience but also seeking those with experience and CDL) Ability to travel daily, out of state as needed, with company provided accommodations and per diems Ability to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs as needed Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing in all weather conditions year round Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving Class A CDL ideal but not required for all positions Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) The compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
