Crown CAPP is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician. This position will troubleshoot, repair, replace, maintain electrical/ systems for production related equipment and building utilities within a high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. This is an hourly position in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment where compliance to all safety policies, procedures and regulations is our way of doing business. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who are committed to customer quality, continuous improvement and achieving World Class Performance. Hourly Rate: $40.00/hr Primary Hours/Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00pm - 6:30am) Day to day responsibilities will include the following: Perform preventive maintenance inspections on production equipment as needed and assigned Assist in developing related preventive maintenance that do not currently exist. Troubleshoot of circuits as required to repair, adjust, calibrate, replace, modify electrical components and devices of production equipment. Knowledge of the requirements and use of Lockout Tagout. Knowledgeable of and conform to the requirements of NFPA70E, Arc Flash. Other duties as assigned. Machines/Tools/Equipment: Voltmeter, conduit benders, assortment of hand and small power tools, computer, basic office equipment, tow motor, etc. Salary-$35-$45 depending on experience. The Senior Electrician supports both foundry and machining operations by performing advanced maintenance and repair of electrical, PLC, robotic, CNC, and automation systems. This role emphasizes safe practices, expert troubleshooting, and independent execution of complex technical tasks. The Senior Electrician is expected to apply strong technical knowledge, mentor junior staff, and contribute to efficient and reliable plant operations. Key Responsibilities · Work safely with 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC, and 13.8kVA systems. · Use multimeters and other diagnostic equipment. · Rack the breakers for the plant's main substation as required. · Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical components of foundry and machining equipment, including furnaces, conveyors, sand systems, mold-making machines, casting equipment, lathes, drills, mills, CNCs, and robotics. Installation & Wiring · Lead installation, wiring, and repairs of motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control systems. · Install, configure, and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). · Install and troubleshoot soft starts for motor applications. · Work with 4-20mA analog devices for process control. · Bend and install rigid conduit for new or modified systems. · Build and modify electrical panels and control systems as needed. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics · Independently troubleshoot and repair electrical, PLC, CNC, and robotic systems to minimize downtime. · Connect to and navigate PLC programs at the PLC or over the network. · Perform minor PLC program changes such as toggling bits, forcing inputs/outputs, or adding jumper logic. · Jog robots and move CNC equipment safely without assistance. · Review robot programs and follow program movements step-by-step in single-step mode. · Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics and technical documents. Maintenance & Safety · Conduct advanced inspections, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions. · Perform preventive maintenance tasks and ensure documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). · Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety standards, including proper PPE usage. · Support emergency electrical and automation system repairs to minimize production disruptions. · Provide guidance and mentoring to Junior Electricians and maintenance staff. Summary Electrical Workers are separated into 4 classifications/categories, namely Entry Level, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Job Description Amsted Rail - Griffin Wheel, the leading manufacturer of railroad wheels in North America, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Industrial Electrician for our Keokuk, IA foundry. The Electrician must be able to demonstrate a safe work ethic utilizing extensive knowledge of OSHA policies and programs. Skills needed include: Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and repair Electrical systems including: drive motors, electrical field devices including proximity switches, limits, and lasers. Maintaining electrical and electronic equipment, PC's/PLC's, variable frequency drives, electronic/electrical troubleshooting and process control loops. Ability to connect to PLC's including SLC 500 and Controllogix systems, troubleshoot and solve problems, including performing program changes. Ability to perform new electrical installation of equipment, including conduit, sealtite and install new wiring runs. Knowledge of OSHA 29CFR 1910 - General Industry Safety Standard: Lock Out Try Out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hot Work Practices, Mobile Equipment Operation, NFPA 70E, PPE, etc. Must be able to work without direct supervision, be a self-starter, pay attention to details including accurate data collection/entry and tracking of preventative maintenance information. Hours of work will be on an off shift with daily and weekend overtime as required. The ideal candidates will have advanced schooling and/or 5 years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete screening and skills tests prior to interviewing.
