We are seeking dedicated individuals to assist journeymen in various commercial, residential, utility, solar, audio-video, service, and fire projects. This role involves running and bending conduit, pulling cable, and installing fixtures. Although no prior electrical experience is required, a commitment to learning and training, as well as the willingness to pursue schooling in the trade, is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist journeymen in day-to-day duties across various projects.

+ Work with romex cable in residential and multifamily settings.
+ Use hand and power tools correctly and safely.

**Work Environment**

Qualifications
Education & Experience: We are looking for candidates interested in becoming licensed through our DOL approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program.

Location/Travel: This position will require travel in/around Des Moines, IA - up to/within a 200-mile radius. Applicants must be permanently located in/around the office location or be willing to permanently relocate. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.
Work Schedule: Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety. Due to the type of construction, weekend work maybe required on occasion.

Ensures the work of the team, including accuracy of modeling matches submittals, conduit type matches specifications, compliance with codes, and overall adherence to project specifications.

Enforces consistency and quality of work following the established standards.
Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies and design tools, maintains knowledge on opportunities for integrating storage and sharing processes, and looks for opportunities for greater efficiencies and workflows.

**Job Title: Electrical Apprentice** **Job Description** Join a leading electrical contractor in Iowa and Omaha, NE as an Electrical Apprentice. We are seeking motivated individuals to assist journeymen with various day-to-day duties on commercial, residential, utility, solar, audio video, service, and fire projects. You will learn and perform tasks such as running and bending conduit, pulling cable, hanging boxes and fixtures, and running romex cable on residential projects. No prior electrical experience is required, but a willingness to learn the trade and pursue schooling is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist journeyman electricians with daily tasks on various projects.
+ Run and bend conduit, and pull cables efficiently.
+ Install and hang electrical boxes and fixtures.
+ Run romex cable on residential and multifamily projects.
+ Use hand and power tools correctly and efficiently.
+ Retain taught skills and demonstrate their application.
+ Read and interpret tape measures accurately.
**Essential Skills**
+ Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with conduit bending and wiring.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers and hammers.
+ Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
+ Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and division.
+ Valid Driver's License.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Experience in construction labor and electrical assembly.
+ Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and climb ladders for 8 hours/day.

**Work Environment**
