Summary/Objective:
The Plumber Mechanic provides guidance and direction to apprentices/helpers. Ensures job quality and customer satisfaction is maintained in every stage of the project.
Essential Functions:
Assembles, installs, layouts, and repairs pipes, fittings, equipment, and fixtures
Tests pipes and fixtures using water and air to detect deficiencies
Measures, cuts, threads, glues, solders, brazes, and slopes pipes composed of various materials
Installs hangers and supports for all plumbing systems

Summary/Objective:
Our Plumbing Foreman manages day-to-day operations on assigned plumbing tasks for commercial construction projects. The Plumbing Foreman provides guidance and direction to commercial plumbing crew consisting of journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices/helpers. Ensures job quality and customer satisfaction is maintained at every stage. Strong relationship building skills with crew, clients, customers, and vendors to cultivate a positive work environment. In addition to supervisory responsibility, this position is that of a working Plumbing Foreman, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks.
Essential Functions:
The Plumbing Foreman studies specifications, contract documents, BIM model, schedule, and VDC drawings to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available tools and equipment and various building methods
Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) throughout a project
Responsible for performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks as a working Plumbing Foreman
Directs and confers with personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays

Summary/Objective:
The Fire Protection Estimator will be responsible for providing complete estimates for bids on projects assigned.
Essential Functions:
Review all construction documents including instructions to bidders, scope of work and general conditions
Ability to lay out fire protection systems in order to create an accurate bid takeoff
Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure coverage on all scopes of work
Distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to subcontractors and vendors via company ftp website and/or email
Assist in development of bid strategies
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits which may result in travel time on occasions

Summary/Objective:
The Fire Protection Project Manager oversees all aspects of planning and implementing the delivery of our Fire Protection commercial construction projects. Fire Protection Construction Project Managers are knowledgeable in the design and construction of commercial fire protection sprinkler systems and will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications for design and constructability issues.
Essential Functions:
Build and maintain a positive relationship with internal project teams, other Project Managers, our customers, subcontractors, and key vendors
As Project Manager, build positive morale on the project site
Oversee total fire protection field trade construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
Coordinate with various internal departments such as pre-construction, sales, safety, purchasing, CAD/BIM, and fabrication shops as well as client personnel and others to:
Develop and maintain a construction plan and schedule
Scope out vendor quotes and purchase equipment and material
Scope out subcontractors and issue subcontracts
Provide guidance for the fabrication schedule
Daily monitoring of key metrics daily (manpower, material/equipment deliveries, etc.) and mentors site leadership to support the timely execution and completion of the work within budget with no defects or accidents
Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets, and reports to senior management and other project managers on key metrics
Create Revenue Forecasts, Schedule of Values, Cash Flow analysis, and other financial analysis
Identify changes in scope, prepares pricing, and submits potential change orders to customer
When necessary, develop recovery plans to bring a project that is experiencing issues, such as issues with safety, quality, or production back on trac
As Project Manager, assist the Superintendent in implementation and coordination of on-site quality control and safety procedures.
Oversee and management of all subcontractor Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal forms.
Manage the Change Order Requests process
Prepare and distribute all subcontractor Change Orders and associated budget revisions
Read and evaluate Sprinkler System designs and coordinate sprinkler layout
Oversight of all project administrative logs and close-out activities.
Help drive the site-specific safety plan and the importance of a safety-first mindset
Comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages within a project lifecycle.

Summary/Objective:
Our Project Engineer - MEP will work with the Project Managers (PM's) and Project Manager Assistants (PMA's) to provide leadership for our Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel project. Our Project Engineers interact daily with the field crews, customers, vendors, and subcontractors. A Project Engineers main objective is to make sure that all of our team members have the correct information and resources to be successful.
Essential Functions:
A Project Engineer maintains project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization
Creates and maintain internal project schedules
Prepares complete, accurate and timely submittals for construction projects based on project drawings, specifications, and vendor information
Tracks and receives approved submittals from architect or engineer and coordinates with Project Team
Assists Project Manager and other Project Engineers by preparing all necessary back up relating to change requests
Completes of all required project close-out documents per contract
Updates and distributes contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions
Schedules all required construction meetings with the ACI Team, our subcontractors, vendors and customers
Attends pre-bid, project and closeout meetings
Solicits subcontractors and suppliers for proposals prior to submission deadline
Prepares correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
Submits building permit application, follows-up on review progress and receives upon approval
Assists Project Manager to achieve quality, schedule, budget and safety
Utilizes and maintains tools: schedules and documents management to track and record project performance
Documents quality and progress of each subcontractor and suppliers and notifies of any changes to the plans, specifications and/or schedule
Informs management of productivity, costs, quality control, document management and processing of applications for payment
Notifies management of any issues that arise which affects quality, budget, progress and safety
Performs other duties as assigned

Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering field, and 2+ years of experience in a commercial construction environment; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance
Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential to this role
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Must be available to work assigned schedules

Summary/Objective:
The Sheet Metal Mechanic fabricates, assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal using relevant equipment such as plenums, fire dampers, and diffusers.
Essential Functions:
Installs distribution lines and equipment per plans, specifications and other contract documents
Installs joints of duct such as slide and drive, TDF, snap lock, and other assemblies as required
Reviews and converts blueprint specifications into shop drawings to be followed in the construction or assembly of sheet metal products
Erects and installs equipment such as air handling units, VAV boxes, fan power boxes, and others as required
Works safely and complies with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures
Installs ductless mini-splits
Determines project requirements, such as scope, assembly sequences, required methods, materials, using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions
Fastens seems or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components to products or to repair sheet metal items
Fabricates ducts for high efficiency heating ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maximize efficiency of systems
Selects gauges or types of sheet metal or nonmetallic material, according to product specifications
Trains and mentors' helper/trainees

Summary/Objective:
The Fire Protection Estimator will be responsible for providing complete estimates for bids on projects assigned.
Essential Functions:
Review all construction documents including instructions to bidders, scope of work and general conditions
Ability to lay out fire protection systems in order to create an accurate bid takeoff
Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure coverage on all scopes of work
Distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to subcontractors and vendors via company ftp website and/or email
Assist in development of bid strategies
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits which may result in travel time on occasions
Review take-off and pricing for completeness on all self-performed work
Review in detail subcontractor and vendor quotations for full compliance with the plans and specifications
Develop rough draft scope of work for proposals
Assist in negotiating subcontracts and procurement of materials and equipment
Enter estimate into job cost control program and participate in turnover/transition meetings with the operations team
Experience with Fire Protection industry standards, including shop fabrication
Experience in providing budgets, estimates, construction schedules, and manpower projections

Summary:
Our Fire Protection Project Engineers work with and support ACI's field operations on industrial projects. The Fire Protection Project Engineer will report directly to the Director of Fire Protection - New Construction Division, with the primary responsibility of ensuring our field forces have the materials, equipment and information necessary to effectively complete the scope of work. As an extension of the ACI Project Manager (PM), the Project Engineer is ultimately responsible for understanding and accomplishing the customer's goals while protecting and promoting the interests of ACI and its subcontractors/suppliers in all project-related matters.
Essential Functions:
The Fire Protection Project Engineer assists project management in the submission and review of permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders
Reviews specifications and drawings in preparation of subcontractor scopes of work and project tracking
Understands contract documents and help identify scope gaps
Prepares and distributes project RFI's and submittals and maintain subsequent logs
Reviews vendor/supplier's submittals for conformance to contract documents and timely track the submittal process
Manages project-specific materials and equipment purchases including: sourcing, maintaining vendor relations, ordering and tracking deliveries and receiving and processing invoices
Assists project manager and procurement with the buyout process
Creates and maintains internal project schedules and project tracking reports
Supports field in expediting schedule, completion of field paperwork and expediting materials
Assist project superintendent with enforcement of site safety and notifies management of any issues that arise which affects safety, quality, budget and progress of work
Supports operations and Fire Protection Project Manager with client communications regarding project schedules and milestones
Assists and supports the Project Manager by attending/scheduling project meetings with ACI's project team, clients, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
Prepares and distributes subcontractor and client's meeting minutes
Coordinates and attends punch list walk-thru as needed; compile the punch list and forward to PM and Superintendent
Compiles and provides closeout documentation (turnover packages) to the client at the end of the project (as-built drawings, O&M's, warranties, etc.)
Establishes good working relationship and foster positive communications with other team members, management, vendors/suppliers and clients
Keeps up-to-date on industry technology, trends and developments
Performs other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering OR related field, and 1 to 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably in a construction environment)
Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office products including Word, Project, Excel, Outlook and PDF Editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe)
Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks) is a plus

* Installs distribution lines and equipment per plans, specifications and other contract documents
* Installs joints of duct such as slide and drive, TDF, snap lock, and other assemblies as required
* Reviews and converts blueprint specifications into shop drawings to be followed in the construction or assembly of sheet metal products
* Erects and installs equipment such as air handling units, VAV boxes, fan power boxes, and others as required
* Works safely and complies with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures
* Installs ductless mini-splits
* Determines project requirements, such as scope, assembly sequences, required methods, materials, using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions
* Fastens seems or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components to products or to repair sheet metal items
* Fabricates ducts for high efficiency heating ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maximize efficiency of systems
* Selects gauges or types of sheet metal or nonmetallic material, according to product specifications
* Trains and mentors' helper/trainees
* Performs other duties as assigned

* 3+ years of experience in sheet metal mechanic field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
* Familiarity with ductmate, spiral, slide and drive ductwork
* Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
* Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
* Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

Summary/Objective:
The Fire Protection Estimator will be responsible for providing complete estimates for bids on projects assigned.
Essential Functions:
Review all construction documents including instructions to bidders, scope of work and general conditions
Ability to lay out fire protection systems in order to create an accurate bid takeoff
Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure coverage on all scopes of work
Distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to subcontractors and vendors via company ftp website and/or email
Assist in development of bid strategies
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits which may result in travel time on occasions
Review take-off and pricing for completeness on all self-performed work
Review in detail subcontractor and vendor quotations for full compliance with the plans and specifications
Develop rough draft scope of work for proposals
Assist in negotiating subcontracts and procurement of materials and equipment
Enter estimate into job cost control program and participate in turnover/transition meetings with the operations team
Experience with Fire Protection industry standards, including shop fabrication
Experience in providing budgets, estimates, construction schedules, and manpower projections
Must be able to meet critical deadlines
Work as part of a team and coordinate scope of work between in-house trades (Sprinkler, Sheet Metal, Electrical, etc.)

5+ years' experience in large fire protection construction projects or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2+ years' Estimating/Pre-Construction experience
Demonstrate knowledge and efficiency in fire protection hydraulic calculation software
General understanding of NFPA codes that relate to the Fire Protection industry. NFPA 13, 14, 20 and 24
Understanding and capable of laying out Fire Protection systems
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to meet critical deadlines
Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Must be available to work assigned schedules

Summary:
Our Fire Protection Project Engineers work with and support ACI's field operations on industrial projects. The Fire Protection Project Engineer will report directly to the Director of Fire Protection - New Construction Division, with the primary responsibility of ensuring our field forces have the materials, equipment and information necessary to effectively complete the scope of work. As an extension of the ACI Project Manager (PM), the Project Engineer is ultimately responsible for understanding and accomplishing the customer's goals while protecting and promoting the interests of ACI and its subcontractors/suppliers in all project-related matters.
Essential Functions:
The Fire Protection Project Engineer assists project management in the submission and review of permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders
Reviews specifications and drawings in preparation of subcontractor scopes of work and project tracking
Understands contract documents and help identify scope gaps
Prepares and distributes project RFI's and submittals and maintain subsequent logs
Reviews vendor/supplier's submittals for conformance to contract documents and timely track the submittal process
Manages project-specific materials and equipment purchases including: sourcing, maintaining vendor relations, ordering and tracking deliveries and receiving and processing invoices
Assists project manager and procurement with the buyout process
Creates and maintains internal project schedules and project tracking reports
Supports field in expediting schedule, completion of field paperwork and expediting materials
Assist project superintendent with enforcement of site safety and notifies management of any issues that arise which affects safety, quality, budget and progress of work
Supports operations and Fire Protection Project Manager with client communications regarding project schedules and milestones
Assists and supports the Project Manager by attending/scheduling project meetings with ACI's project team, clients, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
Prepares and distributes subcontractor and client's meeting minutes
Coordinates and attends punch list walk-thru as needed; compile the punch list and forward to PM and Superintendent
Compiles and provides closeout documentation (turnover packages) to the client at the end of the project (as-built drawings, O&M's, warranties, etc.)
Establishes good working relationship and foster positive communications with other team members, management, vendors/suppliers and clients
Keeps up-to-date on industry technology, trends and developments
Performs other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering OR related field, and 1 to 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably in a construction environment)
Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office products including Word, Project, Excel, Outlook and PDF Editing software (Bluebeam, Adobe)
Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks) is a plus
