Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to establish and develop an innovative and independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies (e.g. the National Institute of Health), private foundations, and industry.
Responsibilities
* Develop a successful research program, with the expectation of obtaining one NIH R01 or RF1 grant, or one other major grant as Principal Investigator, with direct cost revenues of $200,000 - $300,000 per year up to 4-5 years; from Year 4 and forward, the expectation is to be PI or MPI on at least one RO1 or equivalent and have laboratory grants exceed $400K/year in direct costs.
* Participate in teaching at the Medical College of Georgia and/or the Graduate School.
* Mentor graduate students.

Job Summary
The Medical College of Georgia seeks a Director of Pre-Clerkship Learning with expertise in medical education, teaching methods, learning strategies, and academic support for students in the pre-clerkship years (Years 1-2). The Director will provide anticipatory guidance to groups of students as they transition into medical school, deliver workshops and bootcamps to promote academic success, and provide customized one-on-one support to students. This individual will oversee the pre-clerkship tutoring program, faculty advisor training, and targeted learning interventions, ensuring alignment with evidence-based educational practices.
The Director of Pre-Clerkship Learning will report to the Assistant Dean for Academic Advising and will work closely with the Director of Academic Support, who manages the longitudinal peer tutoring program. All Learning Specialists will cross-cover and support students across both the pre-clerkship and clerkship phases; however, this position has primary responsibility for programming, workshops, bootcamps, and advisor training specific to the pre-clerkship curriculum.

* Collaborate with faculty for early identification of students exhibiting signs of academic difficulty.
* Meet individually with students to identify learning preferences and develop individualized learning, study, and remediation plans.

* Support recruitment, training, scheduling, and evaluation of peer tutors in the pre-clerkship curriculum.

Job Summary

Clinician Educators in the DFCM provide academic support in all years of MCG's curriculum. Faculty course involvement includes preclinical electives and interdisciplinary required courses, and a six-week Family Medicine distributed clerkship. This position is not considered to be on tenure track.
Responsibilities

Facilitate overall project assessment (lessons learned). Identify, negotiate, and ensure adequate resources are available and allocated to projects by working with the departmental resource managers. By following IE's project management checklist and procedures, help guide team members and team leaders through IE's project management process. When needed, engage the IE Director for Institutional Project Management and/or an IE project manager to provide training or mentoring on project management best practices and techniques for team members and team leaders.

Job Summary
The Academic Success Coordinator will plan, develop, and manage the implementation and monitoring of tutoring and academic support programs related to math and the physical sciences in general education courses for the Academic Success Center (ASC) at Augusta University. The ASC is designed to support a range of students, from high achieving individuals to those experiencing temporary academic difficulties, as they seek to realize their academic potential. The Academic Success Coordinator will collaborate with faculty across campus to learn about academic content needs, integrate course requirements into the tutoring program, and provide students with effective tutoring and encouragement in lower-division math, biology, chemistry and physics courses. Programming responsibilities includes one-on-one peer tutoring, group tutoring, online tutoring modules, and supplemental instruction (SD. This position will also lead seminars and workshops, work with students one-on-one and in group settings, and provide coaching in life skills/academic success strategies.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
MANAGE THE ACADEMIC SUCCESS PROGRAMMING IN DESIGNATED AREAS: Developing and maintaining a tutoring program for content courses. Developing and implementing effective processes of staffing ASC with student-tutors including recruitment, screening, orientations, pedagogical training programs, and professional development. Developing a comprehensive tutoring schedule. Manage tutor work schedules and provide ongoing supervision for large tutoring staff. Work closely with ASC office manager for payroll and documentation of student tutors.
SUPPORT THE GOALS OF THE ASC THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSITY: Collaborating and communicating with faculty regarding subject matter content to ensure tutoring supports academic course content. Providing feedback and follow-up with faculty on student progress. In conjunction with the Executive Director, serving as liaison and collaborating with appropriate University programs, services, organizations to develop programming to promote students' academic success.
ENGAGE IN DATA COLLECTION AND DEVELOP REPORTS: Maintaining data related to student enrollment, attendance, retention and tracking of benchmarks for program assessment utilizing Navigate and AU data resources. Creating regular reports on tutoring services.
DEVELOP A VIRTUAL PRESENCE FOR ASC: Develop online learning modules in academic specialty fields to supplement general education coursework. Create and maintain web content for workshops/seminars etc.
ENGAGE WITH STUDENTS TO PROMOTE ACADEMIC SUCCESS SKILLS: Provide one-on-one and group workshops in academic content area. Provide one-on-one support to students in academic life skills as needed.

Required Qualifications

The Division of Sponsored Programs Administration and the Augusta University Research Institute serve as a central unit to coordinate and support Augusta University s Internal and External Sponsored Projects.
The Division aims to identify, support, and advance opportunities for research, training, teaching, and scholarly activities by managing the entire lifecycle of sponsored projects from proposal and grant development and submission to contract preparation, award management, and project close out management. The DSPA seeks to advance extramural support programs for the institution by providing administrative, informational, and logistical assistance to faculty and staff, while ensuring compliance with pertinent policies and regulations of the institution, extramural sponsors, and federal oversight agencies.
Job Summary
The position of Grant and Contract Officer assists principal investigators, project managers, and faculty members by providing knowledge and expertise on proposal and budget preparation, contract and subcontracting negotiations, and rules and regulations of state, federal, and other sponsoring agencies. The position also serves as a continuing source of information concerning funding opportunities and as a liaison between investigators, administrators, and the agency officials.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Provide institutional oversight to sponsored project submissions and awards by assisting the principal investigators, project managers, and faculty members with the preparation of grant and contract proposals to include assistance with budget preparation and review of sponsor guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.
Authorize submissions when applications are compliant with institutional and sponsoring agents' guidelines; Coordinate contract negotiations, ensuring that agreements have received legal review and institutional compliance approvals are in force. Authorize the establishment of sponsored accounts once external sponsor has issued award notice, institutional compliance approvals have been met, budget reviews are complete, contract terms are acceptable and institutional commitments are authorized.
Provide leadership and training regarding the administrative requirements of sponsored program activity by serving as institutional resources for information regarding all aspects of sponsored program administration to include funding opportunities for all types of biomedical grants and contracts, rules and regulations of state, federal, and other sponsoring agencies, and submission and compliance issues related to the sponsors.
Coordinate with Post Award to develop fiscal and programmatic reporting to meet sponsor requirements to include close-out of projects and transfer of projects and equipment.
Verify information recorded in two separate internal "tracking" databases that are used to prepare ad hoc reports for Chairs, Deans, Vice Presidents, and President. Serve as local point of contact for numerous web-based submission systems which require continual training to maintain a working knowledge of the system. The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 304 students per class. Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide specialized support to the Department of Internal Medicine Residency Program. This position works in concert with the Residency Program Coordinator 2 and the Residency Program Director in the day-to-day management of the program to include residency scheduling management, empanelment management, credentialing coordinator as well as responsible for management of internal medicine preliminary recruitment, resident recruitment, resident orientation and monitoring of resident educational experiences.

Residency Program Operations
Assist residency coordinator 2 and program director(s) with all ACGME processes to maintain accreditation and manage/coordinate all day-to-day activities within the residency program. Liaison between the GME office, DOM house staff and residency program. Distribute and upkeep resident and faculty evaluations in New Innovations. Track duty hours for compliance standards. Manage resident schedules and rotations, to include leave records. Assist in the recruitment and selection process for resident applicants, to include using ERAS. Process paperwork for and coordinate orientation and onboarding process for incoming residents. Organize educational and social events for the program. Track conference attendance. Participate in activities and events outside of normal working hours/days, as necessary.
Administrative Support
Provide secretarial support to IM residency program director, associate program directors, and IM residents, and general assistance to the residency program office to include but not limited to: maintain outlook calendars, coordinate meetings to include managing meeting agendas and minutes, direct calls for office, assist and direct visitors, distribute mail, create PowerPoint presentations and flyers for meetings and events, maintain office files, prepare and process check requests and IDRs, process recommendation letters, coordinate leave and process travel and leave paperwork for faculty and residents, manage budgets, facilitate and maintain resident licensing and credentialing, and update program databases.

Job Summary
The Research Associate conducts research responsibilities for assigned studies. Be familiar with study protocols, assist investigators with recruiting patient studies. Screen potential patients, help enroll and randomize patients with into studies. Collect and enter study data, prepare and maintain regulatory documents, resolve data queries. Schedule patient visits and procedures, perform or assist with venipuncture, prepare specimens for shipment. Maintain all FDA, sponsor, and institutional review board documentation. Obtain and maintain complete source documentation. Accurate and timely completion of all case report forms and other data entry as required by the sponsor and local institutional data management programs.
Enter data into the OnCore research data management system as dictated per institutional policy as well as the Greenphire patient debit system.
Review study bills received for accuracy ensuring that the correct codes are used and the correct amount is billed according to the billing grid for that study in a timely manner.

The Grant Program Manager has primary responsibility for managing funds under the care of the Research Section including General Ledger, Sponsored Project, and Foundation funds. As Departmental Effort Coordinator, lead biannual effort certification process. Maintain and advise PI/PD/DFCM Managers on employee FTE projections, with an emphasis on project management, staffing plans, and effort deficits.
Sponsored Projects Management
Pre-award: Manage proposal development process to ensure regulatory compliance including: advising faculty and staff on regulatory and policy requirements, potential problem points or barriers, and workflow/timeline; collaborating with internal and external partners, organizations and sponsors.
Award acceptance: Manage departmental award acceptance including: managing Just-in-Time or other responses to sponsor to facilitate award issuance; ensuring requirements are met to allow funding setup; advising PI/PD on terms & conditions, regulatory requirements and awarded budget impact.
Post-award: Manage sponsored project portfolio to ensure regulatory compliance including: reporting to internal and external PI/PD/sponsors; collaborating and advising PI/PD on forecasting, spending and budgeting to achieve project aims; managing contracts associated with projects to ensure collaborators are appropriately engaged; coordinating award extensions and closeout with PI, SPA, and sponsor.
