Automation lead job description

The position requires a good understanding of common developer tools such as JIRA, Git and Jenkins with a clear understanding of how to apply them to ALM processes. The candidate must be comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment with experience in scripting automation. Must have good communication skills as the candidate will be required to liaise with and support developers, gather requirements, document support and user guides and assist with on-boarding to engineered solutions.
Job Skills/Qualifications:

Experience with CI tools (Jenkins) Hands-on development experience in one or more programming languages Java/J2EE, Unix shell scripting, Python and Groovy. Experience in Pipelines and Shared Libraries. Hands on with Docker, Containers and OpenShift/Kubernetes. Experience with REST web services Experience with build tools maven, msbuild, gradle. Experience with spring modules is a plus Experience with binary repository managers such as Artifactory and Nexus a plus

CACI's Business Systems Operating Group is searching for an experienced software engineer to lead the Process Automation Team on a program for a Federal Government customer. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving robotics process automation across enterprise portfolio of systems, working with customer and project leadership to drive efficiencies and reduce the number of resources needed to maintain the portfolio of systems.

What You'll Get to Do:

The selected candidate will:

* Lead the Automation Team, with responsibilities for talent acquisition, growth, and retention

* Contribute to the program's Innovation Engine - including processes and methods for evaluating innovation ideas, determining potential return on investment and presenting results to program stakeholders

You'll bring these qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

* 9+ years leading solution delivery for US Government customers.

* Robotic Process Automation (RPA) experience using UiPath

* Prior experience implementing and managing Innovation processes or capabilities

* Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Chatbots, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and automation capabilities with other platforms (O365, ServiceNow, etc.)

* Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain higher level clearance if needed

The ideal candidate will also have:

* Prior project management experience on enterprise programs

* Prior experience performing the required qualifications on Agile programs

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $86,200-$176,600. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. • Manage 3rd party support partners and enable business citizen developers
• Oversee development of automations including holding partners accountable for high quality deliverables
• Understand hands-on technical activities including computer programming, use case testing, and software development & maintenance
• Support developer team by implementing and enforcing best practices
• Ensure that the automation environments are healthy and fully functional including integrations with other technologies (Office365, SAP, etc.)
• Facilitate and coordinate conversations with Business leaders and their teams to review bot viability from early stage of idea. Provide recommendations as to whether ideas should continue, be significantly changed, placed on hold or discontinued. This also includes evaluating that we are using the best-fit technology.
• Maintain project management standards and procedures. Throughout the project life cycle, obtain feedback to ensure that projects meet customer expectations for contracted time, cost, and performance.
• Create monthly reporting for value calculation and audit purposes
• Ensure design requirements align with the platform's best practices
• Challenge the business's assumptions during the requirements gathering sessions to ensure the most efficient and effective processes are automated
• Communicate to end users the new features and capabilities available in the automation platform
• Build efficient and effective methods to increase awareness and adoption of automation platforms across the business
• Have a strong working knowledge of emerging automation technologies in the market and the impacts of these technologies on business
• Create and maintain automation documentation and artifacts.

Job Complexity:

• Provide thought leadership on process improvement through automation.
• Solicit information on service direction, goals and strategy to determine how the portfolio best can add value to the organization and objectives.
• Provide automation governance to ensure development consistency and ease of support and re-use
• Experience with Automation Anywhere preferred and Microsoft Power Platform desired

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree OR relevant work experience
• Years of relevant experience: 5+ years
• Proven ability to manage outsourced delivery and operations teams
• Experience in product design, delivery and support in virtual machines
• Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences
