The role of a barista extends beyond just making coffee. At Lori's Recharged, you will provide a trusted place for joy and support when people need it most. You will provide products and services that nurture, inspire, and comfort. As a Barista in our Recharged coffee shops, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and engaging from the heart while creating and serving delicious beverages. What you will do: Provide excellent customer service by practicing GUEST standards (Greet, Understand, Educate, Suggest, and Thank) Take guest orders and process payments using the point of sale (POS) Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies Prepare food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, and utensils Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations What you will need: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail for accurate order taking and preparation Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions Ability to work well in a team setting Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations preferred Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Standing on feet up to eight hours/day Repetitive motion including bending, stooping and reaching Lifting objects, ice, products, boxes up to 30 lbs Working in a small space This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and may not necessarily comprise all the functions for purposes of the ADA. Responsibilities Preparing oranges, operating the juicing machine, and packaging the product for purchase Maintaining and cleaning the juicing machine and other program items Ensuring compliance with all food safety requirements Qualifications Must be 18 years of age Weekends (Friday-Sunday) preferred; holidays & weekday work available Reliable access to a smartphone or tablet on days worked The ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds and push or pull a large commercial juicing machine The ability to stand, bend, kneel, walk, and move to perform the event for the entire shift We welcome applicants without a high school or college degree, have no experience or are returning to the workforce and/or have military experience.
