We are looking for team members who are ready to be empowered to go above and beyond. JOB SUMMARY Monitor /Supervise overall operation of Water Trough. Create menus, specialty drinks, corporate initiatives, menu creation, and monitor proper execution of TABC law for beverage service. Monitor performance of cocktail servers, bar-back and bartenders. Coordinate with executive chef all beverages' needs for banquet function and order liquor for the entire department while providing guests with professional, efficient service and quality-made beverages. Operational Responsibilities Creation of all beverage menus, specials, seasonal drinks, and promotional drinks. Monitor all bar employees' performance, implement disciplinary actions as needed and report any issues to F&B Manager. Monitor all cash transactions and report any issues to F&B Manager Prepare all beverage mixers to recipe beverages to guests. Promotes and up-sells liquor and food. Must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, recipes and prices of drinks, proper glassware and garnishes. Follows guidelines established regarding age identification for suspected minors and when dealing with an intoxicated customer. Must be familiar with cash handling procedures to include proper discounting. Tabit system, bank procedures and tip policies Must be able to provide amazing hospitality in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Managerial Responsibilities Maintain integrity of cost controls and proper maintenance of all assets. Conduct and participate in monthly beverage inventories, operating supplies invent Actively participating in F&B marketing meeting and marketing efforts to promote Hotel F&B. Guest Services Maintain knowledge of hotel services and amenities to assist guests with inquiries. Provide personalized service by engaging with guests, learning their preferences, and making recommendations. Greet guests promptly, take accurate orders, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Always maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor to enhance the guest experience. Ensure bar seating tables are clean, properly set, and ready for service at all times. Team Support and Training Attend in monthly Food and Beverage Meetings. Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on menu items, service standards, and company policies. Communication and Reporting Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service. Report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to management. Safety & Compliance Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Wear required non-slip footwear to prevent slips and falls. Comply with local and state laws regarding alcohol service, including verifying guest identification when necessary. Handle trays of food or beverage; hold glasses and other beverage containers behind bar Reaching (Overhead/extension): Frequently. Obtain overhead supplies. Serve at arm's length. Fingering/Feeling: Constantly. Write, cash handling, cash register, adding machine, and drink garnishes Pushing/Pulling: Occasionally. Move chairs, tables. Average weight: 10 lbs. force. Maximum weight: 20 lbs. force. Lifting/Carrying: Constantly. Beer tubs, food and beverage tray, ice buckets, refuse containers, supplies, beer kegs. Average weight: 20 lbs. Maximum weight: 160 lbs. (assisted with handcart or co-worker) Working Environment Interior of Hotel, in all areas of the hotel. Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions. Exposure to various hazardous chemicals. Exposure to food items and beverages. Qualifications ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective time management and problem-solving skills Proficiency in mixology skills and familiarity with a wide range of cocktails and beverages. Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities TABC and Food Handler's Certifications CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Two years' relative experience required. Supervising experience preferred Experience using Tabit point of sales system is a plus Must be over legal age requirement to pour drinks in Texas. High school or equivalent education required.
