Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Billing Technician for the Office of COO within the Rutgers School Dental Medicine ( RSDM ). Under general supervision of the Manager of Billing & Collections, the Billing Technician carries out a variety of services related to the submission of patient insurance in an assigned section of RSDM .
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Performs dental insurance billing activities and other related insurance billing functions. Performs patient third party billing for Medicaid/Medicaid HMO , Medicare and electronic claims submission. Prepares and submits Medicaid/Medicaid HMO and other third-party payor pre-authorization. Identifies x-rays and other information required for pre-authorization and attaches to the claim to be submitted electronically. Scans all pre-authorization approvals, denials, appeals etc. into the patient's record. Informs student doctors when pre-authorization approvals or denials are received; enters pre-authorization numbers in AxiUm for treatment that has been approved and assists the students in the submission of appeals of denied pre-authorization. Keeps abreast of all Medicaid, Medicare and third-party billing procedures and advises doctors, students, of such changes.



Minimum Education and Experience



Three (3) years of prior general office billing experience in a dental office setting, two (2) years of which shall have been included billing and medical insurance activities. Experience in accessing and retrieving information from a computer database.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



Proficient in dental software systems.

**Description**

You will join a team with dynamic strengths responsible for qualifying the Secure Element and NFC chipsets integrated into Apple devices that support Apple Pay use cases. As a part of this team, you will leverage your existing skills to push forward quality at the embedded layer of Apple Pay.
