The salary range for this role is $121,600.00 - $194,500.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bioinformatics Development
Develop, test, and deploy bioinformatics pipelines using Nextflow in a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment.
Analyze NGS data (QC, assembly, alignment, annotation, variant calling, phylogenetics) for microbial and metagenomic studies.
Write and maintain custom scripts in Python, Perl, and R.
Use both open-source and proprietary bioinformatics tools (e.g., CLC Genomics Workbench, Geneious).
Support modeling and simulation of biological processes using Bayesian inference or genetic algorithms.
Develop and manage curated genomic sequence databases (e.g., AMR and virulence markers).

Develop user-friendly documentation for HPC computational tools, workflows, and data portals.
Deliver live or recorded training sessions and contribute to the design of scientific web content and training pages.
Provide editorial and quality review for documents created by other team members.
Offer second-level support for users of HPC and bioinformatics services.
Prepare peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations in collaboration with researchers and public health partners.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's or Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, genomics, molecular biology, genetics, or a related field.

We have an opening for a Bioinformatic Scientist to conduct research training and evaluating next-generation bioinformatic and data management tools. You will
* Analyze metagenomic datasets from environmental (e.g., wastewater, aerosol) and clinical (nasal swab, saliva, etc) samples to determine taxonomy, function and predict impact.

Work under direct to general supervision, employ a variety of standard computational sequence analysis (mathematical and computing) tools to model and analyze molecular biological data.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Duties include but are not limited to working on the machine-learning-based analysis of mouse behavior, based on images and movies taken by our newly developed in-cage imaging system. REQUIREMENTS:

Masters in bioinformatics, computer science, or computational biology, preferred.
Requires a minimum of 1-3 years related bioinformatics experience.
Must possess a solid background in bio -statistics, as well as experience setting up and analyzing large biological databases.
Requires knowledge of and experience with data management and analysis theories and techniques.
Knowledge of and experience utilizing C, Python, Java, R, PERL, or related programming language(s) preferred. Requires the ability to effectively prioritize workload and multi-task.
