The Branch Accountant is responsible for Accounting functions including Accounts payables, reconciliations, and performing analysis of variances when necessary.
**_Responsibilities:_**
+ Process payment and debit request in AP system
+ Calculating and managing customer contracts and rebates
+ Maintain and update multi-tier trade discount and process credit to customers
+ Responsible for issuing credit memos/debit memos when approved
+ Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
+ Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
+ Assist with Month end accounting closing
+ Audit customer trade discount tiers with account reconciliation
**_Requirements:_**
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or related preferred
+ Minimum 2-year experience in general accounting including accounts payable
+ Experience in the preparation of account reconciliations and assist month-end activities.
+ Strong problem solving, analytical and investigation skills
+ Communication skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; AS400 experience is a plus
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to multi-task projects and possess a general knowledge of business principles
+ Must be detail oriented and be able to work under pressure with repetitive and tedious work
+ Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as a team
