Position Summary

The Bus Person and/or Dish washing Person sets-up the restaurant and gets it ready it for lunch or dinner. During the shift the bus person clears tables off and wipes the tables and chairs down, and sweeps the floor. The dish person uses a dish washing machine to wash the dishes as well as pots, pans, and other utensils used by the employees and customers.

Job Qualifications:

Education : It is preferred the applicant be enrolled in high school or a certified G.E.D. program or have their high school diploma or G.E.D.

Experience : Unless currently attending high school, college, or a technical or vocation school, qualified applicants preferred to have at least six months work experience.

Skills: Qualified applicants must be able to learn basic job routines and must be able to communicate effectively.

Health: An applicant who is currently infected with or has knowledge that they are currently infected with a communicable disease which has been determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services as one which is transmissible to the public through the handling of food will not be considered as a qualified applicant. An Applicant must comply with the applicable city Department of Health regulations as well as Jason’s Deli’s dress code policies.

Physical Standards: Ability to stand and exert mobility in a fast-pace environment for up to six (6) hours in length; frequent reaching, bending, squatting and stooping; ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds repetitively; maintain regular attendance; use equipment including telephones, cash registers, calculators, knives, meat slicers, buffalo choppers, the robocoupe, drills, mixers, can openers, scales, and dishwashing machines.

A Food and Beverage Attendant is responsible for preparing and replenishing food and beverage service in the Complimentary Breakfast in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and to maximize profitability\.
**What will I be doing?**

As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you would be responsible for preparing and replenishing food and beverage service in the Complimentary Breakfast to deliver an excellent guest experience and financial profitability\. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

+ Complete opening and closing side work to include, but not limited to, stocking chinaware, silverware and tableware, tending to the coffee machine and/or grinder, retrieving food and beverages from the kitchen and delivering them to the Complimentary Breakfast
+ Retrieve and store chinaware, silverware and tableware
+ Restock, clean and prepare the kitchen
+ Organize and display breakfast and move chairs and tables as needed
+ Display the bar according to established standards including, but not limited to, retrieving ice, cutting condiments, setting bottles, etc\.
+ Monitor inventory and ensure quality condition of all chinaware, tableware and silverware
+ Respond to guest requests in a timely and efficient manner

SUMMARY*: With supervision, washes dishes and utensils, and buses and cleans tables.

*ACCOUNTABILITIES**: *
*Essential Functions: *

* Washes dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc., which may require the ability to reach for objects, handle and manipulate objects, and observe the condition of the objects.
* Buses and cleans dining tables which may require the ability to balance personal loads using arms and legs.
* Removes trash and garbage which may require the ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
* Sweeps and mops floors, and sanitizes carts and equipment which may require the ability to stand and walk frequently with little opportunity to sit during a standard workday.
* Delivers food carts to satellite areas.
* Stocks shelves with dishes and/or various food items.

*Marginal Functions: *

* Assists cook with meal preparation when required.
* Performs additional duties as assigned.

*CONDITIONS**: *
*Equipment Used*: Dishwashing machine, cleaning carts, garbage disposal, mops and brooms.
*Performance Standard*: Must assure sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, equipment, and work area 100% of the time.
*Work Environment*: Work is conducted in a well-lighted, tile-floored kitchen and dining room with air temperature ranges of 75-100 degrees.
*Work Schedule*: Monday - Thursday 3pm to 7pm with no meal break provided; some overtime hours may be required. Schedule may vary to accommodate special events. This position follows an 11-month school schedule.
*Pay Range: * $15.20 - $17.65/hour, based on education & experience, in keeping with the MSB Non Exempt Food and Nutrition Services Scale.

* Basic knowledge of dish room/dining room sanitation in compliance with health department regulations.
* CPR/First Aid Certified.
