SUMMARY
The Business Analyst / Solutions Consultant primary responsibility is to build trust with clients while designing database solutions that enable the client to see ROI on their marketing projects. The Solutions Consultant leads communication with clients to elicit requirements necessary for building and enhancing marketing database solutions. One will work with external and internal stakeholders to detail incoming project requests into functional specifications. This role ensures the functional requirements are understood so that the IT Development team can produce technical specifications and develop the solution. The Solutions Consultant is responsible for identifying requirements, consulting, estimating, designing, documenting, configuring, and testing while working in conjunction with clients and the IT Development team. One is also expected to lead projects and assist in tracking project progress.
RESPONSIBILITIES Influence and build trust with clients, develop and maintain key relationships.
Provide consultation on database marketing solutions based on the client business requirements.
Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and initiatives.
Design data load processes that transform data into the proprietary Marketing Database platform.
Design marketing campaign processes that select targeted data universes and extracts data into required outputs (e.g., files or web services for various media type execution such as email, mail, SMS, etc.)
Define tasks and estimate effort to develop solutions.
Create functional specifications adhering to standards.
Write clear and concise system documentation.
Present solutions to the stakeholders and facilitate the iterative refinement of the requirements.
Develop and maintain key relationships with all impacted business areas.
Perform system and regression testing on all projects.
Manage constantly changing priorities.

REQUIREMENTS 1+ years of experience working with MS SQL databases (or other relational databases)
A demonstrated track record of facilitating requirement gathering on projects, translating requirements into a solution, and engaging with key development stakeholders to ensure that the solution is deployed on time with quality.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working with databases containing large volumes of consumers.
GREAT communication have the ability to drive requirements with stakeholders/clients, setting proper expectations for deliverables.
Experience working with clients and managing their expectations.
Understanding of Agile software development.
Knowledge of relational database design.

DESIRED (Nice-to-have) EXPERIENCE Knowledge of database design for MS SQL Server and designing processes that run very efficiently on large, relational databases.

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Sr. Business Technology Solutions Analyst opportunity with a great client in Piscataway, NJ. This is a DIRECT HIRE position with hybrid work environment (part in office/part remote) and will require a local candidate.

The Sr Business Technology Solutions Analyst is a key facilitator that works closely with business program and product managers, and IT teams to deliver technology solutions that add business value.

As an integral team member of the IT BRM and PMO team, the Sr Business Technology Solutions Analyst leads both the effort of defining software requirements and ensuring those requirements are accurately developed. This role acts as the bridge between project stakeholders and IT teams, is accountable for both the business requirements and functional specifications and is responsible for driving necessary business communication.
Specific duties include but not limited to:

Deliver technology solutions that add business value (50%)

Interface with internal and external stakeholders to determine functional and technology requirements that support organizational business goals, documenting those requirements, and working with Product Owners, Developers, Project Managers, and QA Analysts to deliver business technology solutions including:
Analysis and recommendation of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality of process, increase productivity, availability, and performance to aide in long term strategic and operational goals.
Collaborate with Product Owner, Stakeholders and Delivery Team(s) to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
Facilitate sessions with all relevant stakeholders to drive clarity and agreement on requirements

Service Strategy (30%)

Work as part of a team to Identify and establish strategic long-term technology solution goals and policies and procedures based on business objectives
In partnership with IT and business stakeholders, evaluate alternative solutions to meet business requirements and align to IT strategies, utilizing proven tools/methodologies to facilitate build/buy decisions
Research emerging solution technologies and assess their maturity and applicability to the applications being developed
Work with Business Owners & IT product and portfolio management on feasibility, cost and requirements for new tools, services, and products

Service Operations and Continual Improvement (20%)

Responsible for incident management including analyzing/troubleshooting complex support issues and for driving service restoration through proper escalation of business-critical solutions by using a combination of independent and team judgment and knowledge to resolve problems.
Independent and team-based research to resolve highly complex problems (business and technical).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science discipline
Master's or other advanced degree (preferred)

Experience:

7-10 years Related experience that includes increasing levels of responsibility in gathering and defining requirements, analyzing/mapping business processes, supporting the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of solutions, services, products, and applications
4-7 years' Experience leading IT/software project teams from business and functional requirements through service operations
4-7 years' Experience required in participating in or managing projects in an environment with quality management systems e.g., ITIL, Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma etc.
Experience working with Financial Applications like EBS, ERP, Hyperion etc. (preferred)
