Day to Day: Install Fire Sprinkler systems accurately, on schedule, and within budget. You will work with the Foreman on the job site to follow procedures, blueprints, and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings. This includes connecting fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools. Assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools. Run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjust hangers, etc. Very importantly, you will ensure systems are glued together properly and follow procedures to test the system for leaks. Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch. Working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons including summer months.
