The Learning Systems Intern will join a team responsible for the support and maintenance of BCG's custom-developed Learning System. As part of the team, the role will assist with data analysis and reporting, query building, application testing and support, and systems documentation. The HR Systems Learning Intern will assist with a variety of tasks to help support the ongoing Learning initiative. Communication: The Learning Co-op will have the opportunity to communicate with BCGers located all over the world. Strong interpersonal skills are key to successful troubleshooting. The role will also require maintaining documentation on systems operations.

Systems Documentation: The Co-op must have strong written communication. The role will maintain existing documentation on systems operation and usage, create new documentation detailing features and functionality, and document business requirements for new system functionally.

Support: The role will partner with other members of the Learning squads to respond to support questions or requests for system maintenance.

Data Analysis: Using tools such as Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, and ServiceNow, the role will partner with business analysts to determine the best way to deliver data to business users. The role will learn how to run existing reports, query a database to generate data and format the data for use by others.

Application testing: The role will be given responsibility for testing new features or specific online learning modules to make sure they work properly and are compatible with the latest browser technology.

Problem Solving: The intern will know how to work independently to test different solutions to a user's IT issue.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Ability to organize work in a logical manner Ability to work independently on specific tasks with close attention to detail An interest in Business Systems and IT or eLearning Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook is preferred
Basic knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) is an advantage
YOU'LL WORK WITH The Learning Co-op will take direction from the Agile Learning Chapter Lead and SaaS Engineer. HPM is recruiting qualified applicants for our Cooperative Education Program who are studying civil engineering or building/construction sciences for the Summer 2023 term. This position typically works three alternating semesters gaining exposure to estimating, project management, and the field.
Duties include:

Gaining an understanding of the construction process Estimating, bidding, construction Working with the submittal process Maintaining appropriate logs, reviewing submittals, and approving shop drawings and submittals Preparing transmittals for distribution of project documentation Assist in jobsite setup/permits/closeout Participating in quantity take off/estimating. Candidates should possess computer skills including working with spreadsheets, good communication skills, and a willingness to handle responsibility.


Requirements:


Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Building Science Minimum 2.20 GPA Completed college freshman year Valid Driver's License

STR is hiring Cyber Co-Ops who will work as part of project teams with mentorship from experienced staff. Co-Ops will also collaborate with technical experts to solve problems related to signal processing, image/video processing, machine learning, computer vision, statistical estimation, object tracking, optimization, control systems, data analytics, cyber defense, sensor hardware development. Additional duties will include providing support on all phases of projects, problem design, solution discovery, development of prototype algorithms and systems in software and/or hardware Experimentation and data analysis. System implementation/integration for test and fielded systems.

Requirements

Enrollment in a BS, MS or PhD degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related technical discipline

Strong academic record and interest in research

Background/experience in one of the following areas: signal processing, image/video processing, machine learning, computer vision, computational hardware, RF hardware, software development, “big data” processing, scientific computing skills (MATLAB, python)
