Job Summary
The Hat Coat Checker provides efficient and courteous service for the guests and oversees the dining room activities. Eligible for union benefits.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist in maintaining cleanliness of outlet.
- Ensure coverage of the entrance, greeting arriving guests and thanking those that are leaving.
- Assist with special event set-up, such as skirting buffet or inserting menu cards.
- Answer the telephone, take reservations and give directions to restaurant.
- Resolve guest problems whenever possible and direct communication with manager.
- Assist guests with their coats and hats.
- Ensure that guest bathrooms are maintained at all times.
- Bring guests' needs to the attention of appropriate dining room staff or management.
- Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety, health and general policies and procedures.
Absolutely Required Skills
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively with guests and co-workers.
