Major Function and Scope
Perform the setup, control and monitoring of the operation of the UV Coating Line.
Will be responsible for adjusting flow, light, speed, and other adjustments as necessary to the various aspects of the process to achieve production and quality goals.
Monitors and performs quality control tests and uses them as indicators for adjustment to the UV Line process.
Have the knowledge & experience necessary to run the department in the absence of the Superintendent.
Ensure that schedule changes are made in the most efficient manner.
Assist in Quality Control functions.
Maintain applicator roll and equipment for the UV Line.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays if needed.
Knowledge, Experience, and Competencies
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Stand walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. handle or feel objects tools, or controls handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to move full barrels using a dolly.
Work near moving mechanical parts.

TISHCON coater operator job description
- Wash coating pan as per SOP 6.6.
- Wash feed pump with purified water then with 70% alcohol. Rinse with purified water.
- Start to turn coating pan and blow hot air 60-70E.
- Load pan with 115-125 kg of core tablets.
- Start the feed pump at rate of 80-100 ml/min. with 60 lbs air pressure.
- Start spraying until weight gain of coated tablets is 3 to 4%, or per instructions.
- Turn off the feed pump. Let machine spray for 5 minutes then turn off air.
- Turn off the heaters. Apply 3-4 gm. of Carnuba wax for polishing. Run another 5 minutes.
- Put new liners in boxes. Scoop out product into boxes then tie liners.
- Put boxes on skid. Weigh skid and record on Filmcoating Sheet.
- Clean equipment and utensils, mixer and pump when starting a new batch or as necessary.
- Keep room clean and orderly, and fill out the Room Cleaning Log.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing.
- Comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices, and follow SOPs.
- Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
