Job Description
The primary role of the Part-Time Assistant/Tech in the Office of Technology Services (OTS) department is to provide direct support to students in the computer lab, ensuring a welcoming and productive environment for learning and technology use. Responsibilities include assisting with basic troubleshooting, guiding students through software and system usage, and maintaining lab organization and readiness.
Candidates who demonstrate exceptional work ethic, strong IT knowledge, and technical skills may also be invited to contribute to the broader efforts of the department. These contributions could include supporting front and backend systems, participating in technical projects, and assisting with departmental initiatives that enhance digital services across campus.
This paid part-time position reports directly to the manager and/or full-time technicians as directed. On-site training in all processes and tools will be provided.
The individual must understand and be committed to the efficient operation of the department while maintaining confidentiality. The individual must take pride in the details of the position and be proficient at prioritizing and handling multiple tasks.
* Assist in the computer lab front desk with computer station and/or printer issues or questions.
* Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network connectivity problems on campus, configure equipment, inventory assets and peripherals, and basic record-keeping of job activities.
* Maintain organization and cleanliness of the labs, office and workbenches, which may include cleaning, vacuuming, recycling of boxes and packaging materials.
* Setup and image devices for bench stock and/or support engineers. This may include assisting the engineers in transporting, installing, securing and cable managing devices at all classrooms, labs, and/or staff offices.
* Bench stock inventory and reporting of all technological and non-technical equipment.
* Assist with asset handling for surplus, salvage, moves, etc. under the supervision of the OTS staff as needed.
* Assist support engineers with customer facing situations ... troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for faculty, staff, and students in lab and classroom environments (on-site training provided).
* Answers questions and direct students, faculty, and staff to appropriate resources when inquiries are made in person or by phone.

* Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, work with minimal supervision.
* Smile and be productive in your work, including good customer service skills (in-person or remotely).
* Knowledge of computers, office applications, and Internet skills (additional training will be provided).
* Proficient in Office apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and excellent writing skills.
* Familiar with calendar scheduling, Internet searching and document editing/creation.
* Able to physically transport and maintain equipment including under desks.
* Able to lift and transport 25-50+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
* Maintain academic standing to maintain employment where applicable.

Job Description

The program director is responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review, and development to ensure program effectiveness.
Specific duties include:
Assist the department chair in managing the day-to-day operational aspect of the program. Analyze programmatic needs and ensure program aligned with industry standards and accreditation standards, meeting all standards as outlined by accreditation body. Recruit, screen, and recommend the hiring of full and part-time faculty to the department chair. Supervises and evaluates part-time faculty as needed and as delegated by the department chair. Provides program budgetary oversight. Actively supports faculty development for both full time and part-time personnel, monitoring communication protocols, while maintaining and reviewing part-time faculty credentials. Actively participates in curriculum development and review, while reviewing and adopting textbooks. Serves as liaison between students and the program/department to address student concerns and guides students on programmatic requirements. Serve as a student advisor for the VETN program. Meets with internal and external constituents, representing the department and program to key stakeholders and advisory boards. Facilitate and participate in the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. Participate in the CSN Veterinary Nursing Teaching Clinic and the students' experiences within the Clinic. Manage and oversee the animals maintained by the VETN Program. Participate in grant development and writing as required. Assists department chair in monitoring effectiveness of curriculum and facilities of the program/department while assisting the department in unit planning, strategic planning, and accreditation efforts. Required Qualifications:

Be a licensed veterinarian (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)) with a degree from an AVMA or CVMA-accredited program.
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in veterinary practice

Previous teaching experience at the college level, ideally in a veterinary technology/nursing program

Organizational Relationships:
The Veterinary Nursing (VETN) Program Director reports directly to the Department Chair. The Program Director is a full-time member of the academic faculty and CSN. Salary Range:
Initial salary placement is based on educational level and total years of full-time equivalent teaching experience. The entire salary range is up to $89,166 annually with a Doctorate and 10 years' experience. A maximum of 10 years of experience will be considered for initial salary placement purposes or Market Factor.

Job Description
The CSN Charleston Campus Senator is responsible for promoting student life and student initiatives at the extension sites. This may include office responsibilities, administering programs, surveys, and gauging the student population. Extension Site Senators are also responsible for attending all required workshops, and student development trainings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Shall serve on at least 1 ASCSN Standing Committee and 2 ASCSN Ad-hoc Committees.
Shall have authority to approve By-Law legislation as proposed by the ASCSN By-law and Constitution Committee with an approval by two-thirds (2/3) simple majority vote of the entire ASCSN Senate in a regularly scheduled ASCSN Senate meeting.
Shall have authority to pass financial funding items with a simple majority vote in a scheduled ASCSN Senate meeting.
Shall have authority to override a presidential veto with approval by two-thirds (2/3) supermajority vote of the ASCSN Senate in a scheduled ASCSN Senate meeting.
Shall serve at least 12 hours (over and above committee meetings) each week by working on senatorial programs/assignments and assisting students on the campus they represent, while classes are in session. Ratified 04/15/13
Senate members may choose to work up to one-third (1/3) of their weekly hours helping during events held by ASCSN. Ratified 11/02/12
Senators shall be required to deliver a brief presentation during 1 class each month to discuss the department of ASCSN Student Government. The time the presentation should occur shall be declared by the professor or instructor of the class. Senators may not deliver their presentation to classes already visited by a Senator or classes in which they are currently enrolled to fulfill this requirement.
Senators shall dedicate 2 working hours each week to promote ASCSN Student Government and ASCSN Events. Prior to committing this duty, a senator must first gain approval from a member of the ASCSN Executive Board.
Shall spend the remainder of their hours working on committee assignments.
Shall not represent a Club/Organization and/or Department/Division for attendance or accountability purposes at any ASCSN Senate, ASCSN Committee, or other meetings held by ASCSN. Ratified 02/01/13
Shall see all items of nonfeasance and make the recommendation to dismiss the charges or send the accusation of nonfeasance to the Grievance Committee and Judicial Board. After the Grievance Committee and Judicial Board meets they shall report on their findings and make a recommendation to the Senate. It shall be the decision of the Senate to dismiss all charges, place sanctions on Senate member, or remove the Senate member from office with a two-thirds (2/3) simple majority vote.
Shall be removed from Senate for 3 unexcused absences from ASCSN Senate and/or Committee meetings in an academic semester. A completed Agenda Item Request detailing a dispute of an unexcused absence must be submitted to the Chair of the Grievance Committee and Judicial Board prior to the approval of minutes from the meeting in question.
Shall submit a statement of interests at the beginning of their term detailing possible conflicts of interest to be submitted to the President and shall keep the statement up to-date at all times.
Shall submit at the beginning of each semester proof of enrollment of a minimum of six credits on the campus they represent. It will be up to the Senate to grant an exception within the first two senate meetings of the new semester. Exceptions will be granted based on the criteria outlined in Article IV.8 A. of the ASCSN Constitution. If the exception is not granted the ASCSN Senate member shall automatically be removed from office. Ratified 11/02/12
All senate members shall uphold standards appropriate for a servant leader at all times while on CSN premises and/or while representing ASCSN Student Government at off campus events pursuant ASCSN By-Law Article IX. Senate members are expected to study, review, and adhere to the CSN Student Conduct Code, Student Honor Code, and all other ASCSN Governing Documents.
Failure of a Senator to remain in compliance with all statutes pursuant ASCSN By-Law Article V shall constitute nonfeasance.

Job Description

Under direct supervision, responsibilities include:
Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, fuel and combustion systems, forced air furnaces, radiant heaters, chillers, air handlers, window air conditioning units, evaporative coolers and refrigeration units.
Maintain auxiliary equipment such as motors, pumps, fans, pipe systems, compressors, humidifiers, condensers and pneumatic and electronic control units; adhere to established maintenance schedules to replace filters, lubricate motors and fans, replace belts, conduct chemical analysis and add correct proportion of treatment chemicals, and cleaning other mechanical equipment located throughout a facility.
Inspect equipment for proper functioning; check meters, gauges and other instruments; inspect occupied areas for comfort; adjust safety and limit controls; log information related to temperatures, pressures, fuel consumption, water level, time and date, and respond to emergencies such as utility and equipment failure.
Repair and modify equipment and components related to heating and air conditioning systems by repairing or replacing damaged pipes or valves including brazing, soldering, pipe fitting or adding new piping valves and controls.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits associated with heating, air conditioning and refrigeration including tracing dead circuits, rewiring circuits, repairing or replacing electrical components such as starters, contactors, relays and control units; repair or replace burner gun assemblies; recover refrigerant and recharge refrigeration equipment.
Diagnose equipment failure; make repairs and test system functions using common hand and power tools, brazers, solderers, torches, voltmeters, amprobes, oxygen analyzers and precision measuring instruments.
Install new components such as thermostats, timers or insulation to make older equipment more energy efficient.
Make parts and material purchases and maintain inventories according to departmental policies and State regulations; and prepare and maintain records related to work activities.
Store, handle and dispose of coolants and other chemicals in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
Perform related duties as assigned.
This position may require traveling between campuses and working evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program followed by one year of journey level experience in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment; OR one year of experience as a HVACR Specialist I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to: estimate material and labor needed to complete a job; secure technical advice and diagnose system failures; design system modifications and installation; and all knowledge, skills and abilities required at the lower level.
Working knowledge of: prison security and custody procedures, if applicable.
General knowledge of: supervisory techniques and procedures; departmental and State purchasing procedures. Faculty must hold a valid and current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential issued by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).

Faculty providing didactic instruction must have earned at least a baccalaureate degree within three years of the date of initial hire as a didactic faculty.

Job Description
The Director of CSN Libraries is the administrative leader of the College of Southern Nevada Libraries.
The Director has administrative responsibility for the management, planning, and development of all library policies, services, budgets, and supervision of library personnel.

Position Summary
The instructor will be responsible for day-to-day activities for the Dental Assisting Program. Must assist the Program Director with development and responsibilities to maintain CODA accreditation compliance and documentation.
The instructor must be available or provide alternative responsibility arrangements when off campus. The instructor will work closely with faculty and students to ensure the program meets the needs of the students, college, and community. In addition, teach a minimum of 15 instructional units per semester of Dental Assisting courses, including on-line and in-class lectures, skills labs, and clinicals/practicums. Keep regular office hours, maintain licensure, certifications, and health documents. Participate in the development of curriculum, syllabi, and course materials; evaluate mastery of skills and competencies that are required by the learning department, school, and college-wide committees, and participate in meetings and activities. Other duties as assigned.
This position requires the ability to pass background checks, drug screens, and provide all vaccinations/titers as required by the Dental Assisting Program and/or healthcare facilities.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
* Must be a Certified Dental Assistant or Dentist licensed in the State of Nevada.
* Must have occupational experience with four-handed dentistry principles.
* Must have experience with CODA accreditation and documentation requirements.
* Must have instruction experience in educational theory and methodology, e.g., curriculum development, educational psychology, test construction, measurement, and evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous teaching experience in multiple Dental Assisting topics/subjects.
* Experience working with diverse/multi-cultural student populations.
Starting Salary Information
Initial salary placement is based on educational level and total years of full-time equivalent teaching experience. For example, for an instructor with a Master's degree, the salary range would be $58,046 to $74,304 annually. The entire salary range is up to $89,166 annually with a Doctorate and 10 years' experience. A maximum of 10 years of experience will be considered for initial salary placement purposes.
* This position is contingent upon ongoing and available funding.
The selected candidate may choose Tenure Track or Market Factor salary.
Bargaining unit Faculty members hired are eligible for relocation expenses reimbursement in accordance with the College of Southern Nevada Faculty Contract CSN-NFA Contract 2022-25.
