    The Kids Ministry Check-in Support is a part of the Kids Ministry Department within the Family Life Zone. This position provides hands-on support, problem-solving and anticipatory thinking for the Kids Ministry Department during Weekend services and Wednesday night programming. This position is a part-time (less than 8 hrs/week) support level position, without benefits and reports to the Director of Kids Ministry. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Weekend & Wednesday Assistance General set up and tear down of Kids Ministry classrooms. Oversee Kids Check-in process. Complete various administrative tasks as needed. Other duties as needed by the Kids Ministry staff, as time and schedule permit. Additional Items: Schedule: Typically Sunday 8:00am-12:30pm and Wednesday 5:30pm-8:30pm with occasional special events as available. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Director of Kids Ministry leads the Kids Ministry Department within the Family Life Zone. This position oversees all ministries for children from birth through 5th grade. This person loves kids and has a passion to see children give their hearts and lives to Jesus and grow to be more like Him. This person is a compelling communicator and leader, faithfully working with volunteers to creatively bring the Bible to life with dynamic storytelling, together with a blend of the gifts of drama, worship and other artistic expressions, while providing a safe and nurturing environment for elementary aged kids. This position reports to the Family Life Zone Leader. This is a full-time (40hrs/week), exempt (salaried), department leader level position with benefits. Specific Responsibilities: Department Leadership: Provide vision, leadership, and resources for an effective and contagious Christ-centered Kids Ministry in order to accomplish the overall Ministry Plan of Colorado Community Church. Develop and execute a Ministry Plan for the Kids Ministry Department. Develop a fiscally responsible budget and ensure the ministry operates within its confines. Staff & Volunteer Oversight: Lead, motivate and shepherd the Kids Ministry Department Staff. Recruit, train and shepherd volunteers (Teachers, storytellers, musicians, etc. composed of adults, youth and 4th or 5th grade kids) to teach and care for our kids during all our Kids Ministry programming. Program Development: Plan, coordinate and oversee Kids Ministry programming to include such activities as Weekend “Sunday School”, Wednesday nights, Vacation Bible School, Camps, Fall Festivals, 4th & 5th grade ministry, and other special classes and events to connect children and their families to Christ, Community and Calling. Choose and oversee the implementation of a Kids Ministry curriculum that is biblically accurate, age appropriate and easy for volunteers to use. Equip and resource parents in their roles as the primary spiritual leaders of their children. Regularly guide and equip families and their children who are interested in Baptism and Communion. Additional Responsibilities: Provide general care to the kids and families associated with our Kids Ministry. Participate in weekend worship services as requested. Meetings: Attend all required staff meetings/retreats (ex: Weekly “Devos & Prayer”, Monthly Staff Luncheons, Annual Retreat, etc.) Work Schedule: Weekends: Must be available to work at least 44 full calendar weekends per year for worship service coverage as well as special services as scheduled (Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.). Up to two additional weekends away to “Grow Fruit on Other's Trees” may be requested for outside ministry purposes (retreat, mission trip, training conference, etc.). Wednesdays: Must be available to consistently work Wednesday evenings throughout the school year and during summer programming. Office Hours: In coordination with your Zone Leader, establish and maintain regular weekday office hours considering KM programming and other staffing needs to ensure consistent KM presence in the office. Responsibilities include support of all fiscal management and record keeping requirements. This is a non-supervisory position. Solid experience coordinating accounting activities including, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, government grants and indirect expense allocations. Experience with HIV/AIDS preferred. Experience working in a non-profit organization is highly desired. The CDC, U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, American Academy of Pediatrics, SAMHSA, and the Veterans Administration recommend screening and brief intervention as a standard practice. When combined with community-level prevention strategies, SBIRT prevents disease, injury, and other consequences of substance use in individuals, families, and communities. SBIRT in Colorado is a statewide program that provides training, technical assistance, and implementation support to health and mental healthcare providers, healthcare organizations, and stakeholders. Peer Health Assistance Programs. As a national movement during the 1980s, peer health assistance programs developed as an alternative to discipline for professionals with substance use disorders. Created to enhance public protection, the programs promote earlier identification and intervention before the professional demonstrated unsafe practices. Since the 1980s, the programs have evolved to include comprehensive evaluation and ongoing monitoring of health concerns that may affect professional practice. These include substance use and mental health concerns, as well as physical health concerns. The Peer Health Assistance Programs are statewide and include evaluation, referral to treatment, monitoring the professional's compliance with treatment, case management, and recovery recommendations to professionals who may be experiencing physical, emotional, psychological, substance use, or other personal concerns. About the Substance Use and Mental Health Evaluator Position: This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include responsibility for comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations of licensed healthcare and mental health professionals. Evaluation Includes detailed written findings and recommendations. Evaluations are conducted to determine if professionals are safe to practice, only safe to practice with treatment and monitoring or not safe to practice. Evaluations must follow the required PAS format. A qualified evaluator must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail. Compensation: $80,000 to $85,000 What will you do? Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations for Peer Health Assistance Program participants. Ensure all equipment is in good and safe working order as needed (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) Ensure training space is prepped for team use prior to team training (weight room, field space, High Altitude Training Center, etc.) Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in exercise science or equivalent experience Current Master's Degree in exercise science or related field preferred Licensure & Certification One of the nationally recognized certifications in strength & conditioning: Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association: Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) National Strength & Conditioning Association: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification Experience Minimum of 2 years of full-time strength and conditioning experience Experience working with collegiate or professional athletes Experience in performance testing Experience in periodization, programming, and coaching Skills and Competencies Required Ability to effectively teach and demonstrate proper exercise technique involved in a strength and conditioning program Exceptional organizational skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to work closely with athletes, coaches, and other staff Have the ability to motivate and clearly communicate the plans designed for each athlete Must be able to lift 100 pounds Microsoft Applications Prolonged standing and physical activity Early morning, late evening, and weekend hours as needed Regular attendance at work is an essential job function Work Location Colorado Springs, Colorado at Olympic and Paralympic Training Center Travel will be required for this position both domestically and internationally, for several weeks at a time Position Type: Non-Exempt, Regular, Full-time Reports to: Assistant High Performance Director - Sport Performance Supervisory Role: N/A Starting Date: January 2026 Compensation: $23.00/hour Working conditions: Significant overtime is likely required during and leading up to major events; Non-traditional work hours depending on high performance schedule; Travel is required several times a year; some trips could be 4-6 weeks.
