**Job Description**

**About the role:**

The Chief Storyteller drives end-to-end storytelling that supports Takeda's business goals, helps shape company culture, and drives value for the corporate brand and strategy. The Chief Storyteller helps fuel the Takeda story - the heart and the soul of what we represent - in a way that resonates with employees and external partners alike. Join Takeda as a Chief Storyteller, Global Corporate Brand & Communications where you will be a catalyst for making business strategy a reality. You will also create editorial strategy; capture, encode, build, and share stories that inspire and excite our audiences; build affinity Takeda and its people, products, and services through storytelling. As part of the Global Corporate Affairs team, you will report to SVP and Head of Global Corporate Brand & Communications.

**How you will contribute:**

+ Work with the leadership team and employees on communications initiatives that incorporate the vision, mission, values, and strategic growth priorities of Takeda

+ Translate brand desire and value proposition(s) into compelling stories - both short- and long-form - to tell across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels (platform agnostic)

+ Create and support overarching messaging/editorial framework that supports key business units and positions spokespeople as experts

+ Ensure consistency of messaging with care for corporate brand and strategy

+ Map most compelling and desired dimensions of stories to audiences and platforms (channel strategy)

+ Work with executives on contributed content/speeches/articles

+ Contribute to internal communications including plans for communicating company vision, values, and initiatives to employees to foster shared engagement

+ Help inspire creativity

+ Promote the use of and be the source of storytelling frameworks, approaches, and best practices

+ Mentor and develop team of storytelling specialists across functional areas

+ Ensure editorial team has what they need to deliver editorial excellence/deliverables that live up to high goals

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism or a related field, with 10+ years of experience

+ Demonstrated experience in corporate newsrooms in a leadership role

+ Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry communications environment.

+ Experience converting value propositions into narrative-based content/copy; experience distilling complex concepts into content that is easy to consume

+ Experience with story structure and storytelling

+ Familiarity with modern mediums and channels; Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Yammer, Reddit, Quora, etc.

+ Experience producing and building content for social, web

+ Content Marketing Experience including both earned and paid

+ Video production experience - from concept and storyboards, to script writing and casting, to editing and CGI/post-production

+ Project management skills and capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

+ Budget management skills

+ Change management experience
