As a student employee, we will work with your class schedule to maximize your professional and academic growth. You will work a structured administrative shift in the apartment leasing office which may include evenings, weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays. Here's what your typical day may look like:

Help students find their home away from home by making appointments, conducting tours, maintaining show rooms, and completing marketing follow-up processes needed to secure leases.

Provide unparalleled customer service and respect for residents while supporting all American Campus Communities policies and procedures.

Enthusiastically assist with the implementation of off-site marketing efforts on-campus, in the community, and at special events.
Assist with the preparation and administration of Turn, Move-In, and Move-Out. Work scheduled “Community Assistant On-Call” shifts, which may include, weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays. These shifts are a required part of the Community Assistant position and may take place at any point during the day, evening, and/or overnight.

Immanuel Community Services (ICS) is the longest running social service agency in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle. Our mission is to alleviate the effects of poverty, hunger, homelessness and addiction by providing community-based social services to those in need. We do this through our four programs: a weekly Food Bank, feeding anyone experiencing hunger with no restrictions & no questions asked; a daily Hygiene Center, for our unsheltered neighbors in-need of a shower, laundry, a hot meal, supportive services and respite from the elements; a clean & sober Emergency Shelter for homeless men participating in intensive outpatient treatment; and finally, a robust meal program, serving 25-30,000 meals per year. As a result of COVID-19, demand for food has increased dramatically and challenged our capability to meet that need with current staffing. The AmeriCorps Service Member will focus on our Meal Program to strengthen our capacity to prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to our Hygiene Center guests, as well as to assist with meal-planning and food procurement for the ICS Meal Program. Additionally, this member will provide general support on our Monday Food Bank and Home Delivery program as needed. Position is contingent upon funding.
Member Duties : MEAL PROGRAM: Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch daily to unsheltered guests in our Hygiene Center. Ensure that kitchen in maintained-and food prepared-according to public health standards for meal program operations and ICS Food Service. FOOD BANK OPERATIONS: Assist Food Services Coordinator in the efficient operation the weekly ICS Food Bank during set-up, clean-up and food distribution. Assist Food Services Coordinator with receiving, sorting and storing of incoming food deliveries. HYGIENE CENTER: Assist with the hygiene and sanitation tasks related to serving meals in our Hygiene Center. VOLUNTEERS: Supervise volunteers in their various functions in Meal Program operations. Applicant must be 21 or over.
