Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Key responsibilities:

+ The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in part by implementing cloud based HPC in a secure, robust, and cost-effective manner.

+ Work with cloud vendors to define a strategy and a smooth process for distributing jobs between on-premises and cloud resources.

+ Define and design a framework to move HPC jobs between on premises HPC and cloud.

+ Work with HPC users and experts to define candidate workloads for the cloud based on workload requirements.

+ Work with users to identify use cases for cloud HPC workloads and data.

+ Develop monitoring and reporting processes for cloud HPC jobs.

+ Participate in performance analysis of engineering application in the cloud.

Basic Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Computational Geometry Algorithm Developer (Experienced or Senior) to join the team in Everett, Washington.

Come join the Flight Sciences Technology Integration team for Boeing Commercial Airplanes! Join a team on the cutting edge of technology, building the tools and methods that will define the future digital processes at Boeing. We are seeking an experienced or senior Computational Geometry Algorithm Developer to build the foundational tools and methods supporting engineering design, analysis and manufacturing.

In this role you will formulate algorithms and mathematical approaches to solve geometric modeling problems supporting engineering design and analysis. You will have opportunities to collaborate with engineers from a wide range of technical backgrounds including structures, flight, and manufacturing engineering. You will help build the Digital Thread for modeling, analysis and simulation as we enable the creation and deployment of geometric models across engineering throughout the aircraft product lifecycle. The successful candidate will join a diverse team of mathematicians, developers and engineers passionate about building the next generation of engineering capabilities!

* Partner with teammates and stakeholders across engineering disciplines and Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) to provide technical solutions to engineering problems
* Design, develop, test, document and support product solutions for engineering teams

* Develop core geometry libraries and applications that enable automation of complex engineering tasks

* Develop geometry models for use in engineering modeling, analysis, and manufacturing processes

* Identify high value engineering problems and collaborate with BR&T to develop new geometry and optimization capabilities which can be applied to those problems.

This position is expected to be 80% onsite, with 20% telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, Washington.
