    Insight Global is looking for an inside machinist at the journeyman or specialized level that can, not only operate CNC and manual Lathes and Mill machines but can set up the machine from start to finish. After a 3-week training period and safety courses, the inside machinist will be assigned to a specific machine (Manual Lathes, Manual Mill, CNC Lathes or CNC Mill) and will be giving a specific project. The project could last a few hours or a few weeks depending on what item they are assigned to. They could be working with material that is 2 feet long or 10 feet long. Most of the material they will be working with will be stainless steel with a little bit of aluminum and copper. Onsite there will be a CNC programmer so the inside machinist will need to have knowledge of G&M codes but does not need to have the programming knowledge.

    Alliance Machine & Engraving, LLC is a division of The Bradbury Group specializing in engraving and embossing equipment located in Ashland, VA, just outside of Richmond. Responsible for operating manual machinery, including engine lathes and cylindrical grinders, to produce precision metal parts to blueprint or job order specifications. Essential Functions: * Studies prints and job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations. * Layout dimensions on parts per prints. * Setup and operate machinery to cut shape or form metal to specifications and ensure conformity of finished work. * Assemble and fit machine components with use of hand and power tools * May be required to learn and operate drills, grinders, mills, lathes, forklifts, overhead hoists, and other equipment as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned.
