Requirements

* Ability to troubleshoot CNC machine issues, robotic integrations, and process inefficiencies.
* Must be willing to learn and master Heidenhain CNC controls for high-precision machining.
* Prior experience using Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Siemens CNC controls.
* Experience in lights-out manufacturing and high-tech machining environments.
* Strong background in precision engineering and high-tolerance machining.
* Previous experience with multi-national manufacturing environments is a plus.

The wage range for this role considers various factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has been adjusted for the applicable geographic location at which the position may be filled. Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program complex parts in the Vision System.
Program complex parts in the CMM.
Ability to write programs for the CNC's.
Trouble shoot and correct issues with the CNC software.
Develop cutting tools and fixtures for the CNC's.
Ability to run/setup CNC's, detect issues and make corrections.
Assist fellow toolmakers when needed.
Lead by example demonstrating proper shop techniques.
Perform work with tolerance of + / - .00025 or better.
Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary.
Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards for which Fair Rite is certified
Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
Qualifications
Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
minimum of 2 - 4 years on the job training and or experience related to CNC Programming
Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:
AAS - Machine Tool Technology or Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate
2 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or other relevant role
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to follow written and oral communication
Knowledge of computer-aided drafting software (CAD) and or Solidworks
Knowledge of computer-aided machining (CAM)
Knowledge of CNC programming
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to use data collection / SPC
PC / Computer skills
Ability to use CMS / ERP system is recommended
Must have good problem solving skills
Must have excellent time management skills
Must be highly detail oriented
Ability to accurately handle all hand held precise measuring instruments
Strong mathematical skills
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
