The Pre Makeready Technician’s key role is to assemble tooling necessary for Diecutter Operators and to pre-set tooling for Diecutter Operators.
Responsibilities
Maintain high-quality products with minimal waste.
Maintain tools and equipment.
Maintain good attendance.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as take actions that support teamwork, safety, and good housekeeping.
Operate powered equipment including lift trucks.
Know and abide by all Standard Operating Procedures
Cross-train as assigned, follow and adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment rules and regulations.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Formal Education & Certification
Possess a High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent education and/or training.
Knowledge & Experience
Previous Pre Makeready experience is preferred.
Experience in the packaging industry is preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel is required.
Personal Attributes
Good verbal and written comprehension, with the ability to receive and follow instructions.
Be able to perform work-related math functions (which includes the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Must be able to multitask.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Work Conditions
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time working at a computer workstation.
Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds continuously and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and peripherals.
Have the ability to stand for long hours, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb and use hands and wrists continuously in a controlled movement.
Ability to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
