Position We are seeking a reliable Medical Courier Driver to support our Draper operations through timely specimen retrieval, safe transport, and professional client service. This position requires strong attention to detail, comfort driving at night, and proficiency with routing technology, GPS, and smartphone-based workflows. Shift: We are hiring two full-time Medical Couriers for evening routes. Scheduled 4 days per week, approximately 9-hour shifts. End times depend on the route assigned. Available Shift Options Monday - Thursday: 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m./1:00 a.m. Tuesday - Friday: 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m./1:00 a.m. Monday - Friday: 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m./ 2 a.m. Responsibilities Retrieve and deliver medical specimens safely and on time, following established routes and chain-of-custody standards. Complete supply drops for internal teams and client facilities. Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle; complete inspections and report maintenance needs promptly. Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper specimen handling, packaging, and storage. Communicate clearly with dispatch, clients, and internal teams to coordinate changes, updates, or special instructions. Deliver excellent customer service during all pickups and client interactions. Load and unload specimens and supplies safely; follow lifting and handling procedures. Use company-provided software and GPS tools to document route activity and complete required logs. Attend required trainings and meetings to stay current on policies and compliance. Collaborate with peers to problem-solve issues that arise during routes. Perform routine vehicle checks and report issues quickly. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Driver's License. Clean driving record. Minimum two years of driving experience in previous related roles. Comfortable driving at night and for extended periods. Tech-proficient; able to use GPS, routing apps, and smartphone-based tools. An active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with an adequate data plan. Personal auto liability insurance (no additional coverage required for company vehicle). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing routes or needs. Preferred Qualifications Previous medical courier, healthcare delivery, logistics, or specimen transport experience. Familiarity with HIPAA, chain-of-custody standards, or handling sensitive materials. Experience providing excellent customer service in fast-paced or field-based roles. License/Certification Valid Driver's License (Required). Work Location: Draper, Utah, and the surrounding area. Job Type: Full-time, W2 Salary: $18.00 per hour. A company vehicle is provided during working hours. 8% differential for hours worked between 8 PM and 4 AM and weekends. Key Responsibilities Collect bagged trash, recycling, and broken-down cardboard from apartment doors Transport materials to on-site dumpsters, trash chutes, or compactors Separate recycling and inspect for contamination Check in and out using a mobile app Take photos and issue Educational Courtesy Compliance Notices when required Upload documentation through the app Clean up loose trash around dumpsters, chute rooms, and compactors Return all equipment to designated storage areas Occasionally assist with: Replacing pet waste station bags Collecting bagged pet waste Managing waste bins near doors, pools, or common areas Shift Length Typical shifts last 1-2 hours per evening Shift length may vary based on: Resident participation Property size and layout Seasonal or operational factors Physical Requirements Extensive walking throughout apartment communities Ascending and descending stairs at some properties Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Some communities require use of a personal open-bed pickup truck Qualifications & Requirements TRUCK REQUIRED for this site Reliable, conscientious, and self-motivated Friendly and professional when interacting with residents and on-site management Valid Utah driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle Valid auto insurance (as required by role) Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to speak, read, and write in English Possess a smartphone with active data plan and location services enabled Able to meet physical demands of the position No prior valet trash or porter experience required.
