    The application window is expected to close on: **Job posting may be removed earlier if the position is filled or if a sufficient number of applications are received** . **Meet the Team** The Credit Portfolio Analytics & Operations team manages the global portfolio-level credit risk for Cisco Capital and Cisco Systems on more than $30B of short and long-term lending to customers via leases and loans, accounts receivables, contract assets, and channel guarantees. The team is part of the larger Capital Markets and Underwriting organization which supports Cisco Capital and the Sales teams within Finance. We are a small diverse collaborative team that identifies and tracks economic and financial risks, reports on key portfolio metrics, and supports the underwriting, accounting, workout, and collection functions in setting risk ratings, credit limits, CECL reserves, and non-performing loss mitigation. Team members are intellectually curious individuals with unique perspectives constantly looking to improve our world-class risk management. We maintain a high standard of risk controls, while economic and technological changes are crafting clear opportunities for innovation in our processes and approach. **Your Impact** You will be responsible for monitoring, validating, updating, and improving automated underwriting scorecards and related controls, including the integration of AI prompting, for use by the underwriting team to accelerate the approval of credit limits for lending. In collaboration with the portfolio analytics team and credit operations, you will help propose periodic adjustments to benchmark metrics and scorecard credit limits based on changes in the credit cycle or portfolio correlations (VaR) for approval by the Chief Credit Risk Officer. With some experience, you will modify and develop new scorecards to address opportunities resulting from new data sources, analysis, and AI improvements. Organizational skills, data management, an analytical attitude, and a collaborative disposition will be key to your ability to set up and consistently update and analyze relevant data due to multiple sources of information, consolidation processes, and credit workflows. Success can be realized by helping to improve underwriting consistency, accuracy, and efficiency with the potential to change our approach to the approval process and the company's ability to scale the business. + Use financial, credit, and statistical analysis to assess credit risk across large data sets. + Collaboratively build and maintain a 'dashboard' and periodic readout of KPIs related to automated scorecard use and full underwriting approvals. + Identify trends, portfolio characteristics, anomalies, and ideas to make recommendations for underwriting and operational improvements. + Apply credit agency ratings, financial disclosures, credit metrics, probabilities of default (e.g. Merton Model estimates), payment delinquencies, general fixed income concepts, and third-party quantitative models as needed to analyze and improve scorecards. + Optimize competing objectives and conflicting information to maximize credit model efficiency without compromising risk controls. + Contribute to related ad-hoc analysis, projects, and presentations which support team processes and requests from senior leaders.
