The Mississippi Cancer Institute Radiation Therapist primary responsibility is the application of ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist, and to provide leadership and direction for other radiation therapists. At all times, work assignments will be determined by adjustments of daily scheduled appointments and priority, needs of the patients, medical director or director. Assignments to other duties are established by census and staff levels. The MCI Radiation Therapist will work a 40 hour week, with rotating weekend/holiday on call schedule.
