Patient Data / Image Movement * Verifies all written orders prior to beginning procedure to ensure proper diagnosis is included. * Obtains patient history so that proper procedure may be performed. * Completes all steps to ensure that images are on the PACS and ready to read. * Enters accurate exam codes so proper charging is accomplished. * Is familiar with splitting exams into separate folders. * Scans all pertinent documents into patient file in PACS. * Films images as requested and ensure quality. * Burns images to CDs as requested and verify that images are viewable. * Enters accurate exam information into Radiology Information System. * Familiar with Vital/AW workstations functions. Confers with the Radiologists to establish protocols of non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to complete the exam. Evaluates the nature of critical and urgent procedures and arranges patient priorities to accommodate the Stat orders.
