What You'll Get To Do: The successful candidate will provide technical leadership within the AVE Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) team, focusing on the development of mission critical software products. They will architect complex systems and lead the design, development, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring compatibility through the development and integration of board support packages and driver implementations. Expertise in real-time operating systems is essential, including configuring kernel parameters, managing task scheduling, and implementing inter-process communication. To include the development and facilitation of middleware integration, utilizing appropriate communication models. Responsibilities include integrating application, system, and device layers on real-time embedded systems, performing performance measurements, and optimizing throughput to enhance system performance, and mentoring software engineers. Candidate will also participate and advise in the formal testing approach for embedded software products, closed loop sim integration, and defect troubleshooting and resolution. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and support the Sentinel Program. Job Qualifications: You'll Bring These Qualifications: - 14 Years with Bachelor's in relevant field of study, 12 Years with Masters, 10 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree. - +10 Years of SW Experience (Experience in C++, real-time embedded software, and object-oriented design. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
