Job Description Multimodality/Radiology Technologist Department: Radiology Reports To: Director - Radiology Direct Reports: None FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt The Multimodality Tech performs any combination of Radiographic Imaging procedures on ambulatory, and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, and/or hospital setting as requested by a Physician or other licensed Provider and under general supervision of a Radiologist for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. Explains the test/procedure to patient and/or family; makes sure patient/family has basic understanding of procedure to alleviate fears and apprehension and gain patient's cooperation; shows willingness to answer questions; gives patient full and undivided attention while in presence of patient and demonstrates a sense of caring. Ensures safe and up to date working knowledge of all imaging equipment; follows standard precautions and uses equipment safely and appropriately; conducts appropriate radiation safety practices.
