Marathon Oil data entry supervisor job description

Marathon Oil is seeking a Measurement Data Supervisor to provide support for measurement activities surrounding ongoing field development in all resource plays. The primary focus of this role is to supervise Measurement Analyst who are responsible for meter accuracy and efficiency with the utilization of the FLOWCAL application.

The role will require close interfaces with Measurement Supervisors, Production Reporting, and field Production Data Technicians to help optimize the quality and accuracy of production data. This position will also require working with various support teams in Houston to ensure efficient delivery of requested information. Effective leadership, communication, and organization skills are a required.
Responsibilities:

* Review and provide guidance on gain/loss variances on physical pipeline balances and work with operations and measurement teams to resolve.
* Supervise Measurement Analyst daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
* Complete internal FLOWCAL and field measurement audits to provide detailed reports on process improvements.
* Assist with implementation of new measurement practices and maintaining corporate measurement standards.
* Oversee FLOWCAL operation and database maintenance procedures.
* Manage FLOWCAL enhancement projects, system testing, documentation, and training.
* Provide guidance to measurement analyst on measurement deficiencies with supervisor, field personnel, and accounting groups.
* Design and develop new tools/reports for pinpointing discrepancies.
* Oversee daily/monthly data imports into FLOWCAL.
* Review new schematics and provide a detailed analysis on issues that will deviate outside of internal measurement standards.
* Maintain measurement analyst standard operating procedures.
* Review all PPA's from field calibration/proving.
* Provide guidance on measurement issues concerning pipeline customers, allocation, accounting, and other third parties.
* Drive standardization from field to office regarding naming and programming.
* Interface with Production Reporting/Accounting to assist with discrepancies.
* Sign off on daily/monthly volume edits that interface to Marathon's accounting database.
* In depth knowledge of API, AGA, and BLM standards.

Minimum Requirements:

* High school diploma (or equivalent)
* Minimum 10 years oil and gas production experience
* Proficiency with the Microsoft suit of products and intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills required
* Ability to make periodic field visits
* Proven leadership skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, planning, and organizing skills.
* Excellent documentation skills required to support analysis and problem resolution.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* A thorough understanding of field measurement software, including extensive experience in the hands-on operation of these systems for measurement applications.
