*DPA I - Civil (Entry-Level):*
Provides legal services to county government on civil matters, handling routine cases and assignments under guidance, with increasing independence over time. Responsibilities include prosecuting, defending, and resolving civil cases; advising county officials; negotiating agreements; conducting legal research; drafting legal documents; representing the County in hearings and court; reviewing contracts; assisting with code enforcement; and helping develop legislation.
*DPA II - Civil (Mid-Level):*
Handles more complex civil legal matters with greater independence, performing all duties of DPA I-Civil plus litigating and negotiating high-risk cases, advising on a broader range of legal fields (including labor and employment, tax, forfeitures, and environmental law), participating in hearings, arbitrations, and appellate cases, coordinating contract reviews, managing risk and compliance issues, and training county staff as needed.

* Juris Doctor (ABA-accredited), Washington State Bar Association membership in good standing.
* Strong knowledge of civil/administrative law, judicial procedures, and legal research.

The Managing Attorney for the Office of Solicitor General will assist the Solicitor General in the following ways: Coordinating and supervising staff solicitors; participates in complex legal actions; oversees all law office operations including case assignment and hiring, supervision, and professional development of the law office staff, as well as budgeting; manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs; ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets; has authority for personnel actions; and extensive knowledge of department processes.
*Responsibilities*
Problems are often not well defined and are non-recurring but may bear some resemblance to problems encountered earlier. Precedent, policy, laws and regulations, and court precedent offer some guidance, but latitude and judgment is required in determining the appropriate course of action. Guidance is also available from the Solicitor General when necessary. Creativity and resourcefulness are often required to produce effective solutions.
Information necessary to make decisions may be incomplete or conflicting. In such cases, inferences must be drawn from the information available, and decisions are made based on incomplete, misleading, or conflicting information. Poor decisions may have a long-term effect on Band resources, the Band's ability to govern effectively, and the level of service provided to Band members.
The Managing Attorney will assist the Solicitor General, the Deputies, and the staff on decision making and direction.
*Experience*
* Distinguished graduate of an ABA accredited law school with a LL.B. or J.D. degree.
* Five (5) to Nine (9) years of experience in American Indian law and court systems.
* Member in good standing with the State Bar of Minnesota.
* Must possess a license to practice law in the State of Minnesota and Federal Court.
* Knowledge of legal principles, practices, and proceedings and of laws, regulations and rules, relating to the Band.
* Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.

Job Summary
As a Summer Camp Leader for Daze and Fest Camps, you will lead exciting activities and field trips for children within our communities. Our programs serve a diverse population of children in grades K-8 at school sites across the county. As a Camp Leader, you will support our Camp Supervisors and Aides and be responsible for leading camp participants through arts and crafts, playground activities, and field trips to outdoor pools, sporting events, and other fun venues. *Positions are scheduled from June 2026 to August 2026. *
*Workdays are Monday-Friday with hours from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM. *
Flexible hours are available for substitute positions, and locations will be central within Loudoun County.
*This position is eligible for a $1,000.00 hiring bonus following the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma and six (6) months of supervised programmatic experience that includes 3 months of programmatic experience working with children with disabilities. Must be able to lift 75lbs and/or assist with camper transfers from adaptive equipment, surfaces, and/or wheelchairs.
*Applicants who have completed the 10th grade may be considered for a lower grade level position until the completion of high school. *
Preferred Qualifications:
* One year of programmatic experience with supervising children with disabilities, including previous supervisory experience, is strongly preferred.
