Detailers are critical to our success at FritoLay! Our Detailers are responsible for merchandising FritoLay's complete line of quality products in local stores. As a Detailer, you will drive your personal vehicle to a variety of store locations, retrieve Frito-Lay products from the backs of stores, and ensure that our products are both fresh and attractive to our customers when out in the store. Job Summary:
The Detailing
position at Jim Myers & Sons, Inc. (JMS) is a vital member of the Operations/Detailing Team and is a diverse
high paced position. A Detailer is responsible for the development of drawings, plans, and other documents. This includes drawing layouts, engineering drawings, and detailed fabrication prints. The Detailer should be comfortable in a manufacturing environment and have experience with sheet metal components and multibody weldments.
Responsibilities include :
Create detailed fabrication level drawing packages for projects that are visually appealing and functionally attractive
Work with
Designer(s)
to prepare
detailed submittal packages on the same caliber as fabrication packages
Work with the manufacturing department to support assembly of components per drawings
Strong ability to understand mechanical equipment with high attention to detail
Adhere to project schedule
and specifications to meet the projects time objectives and milestones
Maintain proper communication with
departments such as, sales, project management, and engineering
Ability to work effectively & efficiently with project team members on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as logical thought process
Travel to plant sites is minimal but could be
required for field measurements, installation
support and troubleshooting (Travel
Follow all JMS, Inc. policies and procedures
Qualifications
Must possess a minimum
2+ year(s) (3,500+ hours) of experience in 3D modeling with SolidWorks (preferred)
Intermediate level 3D detailer
and/or Certified
SolidWorks Professional preferred
Knowledge and experience
applying drafting standards to fabrication level drawings
2 years of experience with creating drawings of weldments and assemblies
1 years of experience with 2D detailing in AutoCAD a plus
Strong background of mechanical equipment with
high attention to detail
Strong communication skills including the ability to negotiate positive outcomes
Experience with power transmission equipment including motors, gearboxes, chain drives, shafts & bearings
Requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
Desire to learn and to continue developing knowledge and skills
Desired Experience and Skills
Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, machining, etc.
Experience with the municipal water and wastewater industry a plus
Experience with material handling systems (conveyors and bulk storage) a plus
Experience with electrical power, instrumentation and controls a plus
Experience applying GD&T is strongly desired or certification in GD&T is a plus
Education
Certified Associates Degree in Mechanical
Drafting/Engineering or other relevant field of engineering with equivalent combination of experience

Responsibilities of the Job (Or Better Known as, Your Next Destination)
Responsible for tracking and monitoring the maintenance of DriveTime vehicles. Perform inspections and work with management to repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and/or the overall quality of the vehicle.
Inspect vehicles for cosmetic standards.
Manage incoming and outgoing inventory.
Prepare and move vehicles throughout the distribution for retail.
Record daily inventory of vehicles that arrive from auctions.

Must be comfortable operating all vehicles at the Reconditioning Center.
