*Produce HVAC sheet metal drawings and ductwork fabrication schedules
*Produce a coordinated model from 2D construction documents and submittals
*Produce 3D duct models for field coordination and prefabrication using the following (but not limited to) software: AutoCAD, East Coast CAD, Revit and Navisworks
*Run clash detections and produce reports
*Prepare layouts and dimension drawings
*Work closely with Project Managers, Duct Fabricators and Field contacts
*Attend and/or lead BIM Coordination meetings as necessary with other trade and General Contractors
*Receive and respond to inbound calls regarding submitted proposals
*Extensive usage of Email and Phone.
*Produce rooftop equipment location drawings and wall sleeve location drawings

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience with

The Design Detailer is responsible for generating 2D drawing designs for fabrication on commercial construction projects. The candidate should already possess moderate to advanced structural steel and light gauge metal knowledge, to include materials, shop fabrication and field installation. Job Responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for:
+ Review Project scope, design drawings, equipment submittals, and specifications for conflicts and/ or questions in preparation for modeling/ detailing
+ Provides structural steel models and miscellaneous steel detailing for our commercial and industrial projects to include catwalks, platforms, stairs, ladders, railings, and misc. supports using current modeling and detailing
+ Adheres to applicable codes and company design standards
+ Generates documentation to be used for planning, purchasing, fabrication, lifting, and installation
+ Reviews and revises drawings based on engineering and coordination comments, fabrication needs, and field conditions
+ Assist shop and field personnel with questions and extra details as necessary
+ Maintains a clean work area.
+ Willingness to cross-train
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
+ Experience with Structural steel detailing
+ Solid experience with Auto-CAD 2D software application.
+ Knowledge of pre-engineered metal buildings a plus, but not required.
+ Knowledge of light-gauge red-oxide metal (C-channel, Hat-channel, etc.)
+ Experience in mini-storage design/drafting a huge plus.
+ Ability to research applicable building codes or other information to accurately complete construction drawings when necessary.
+ Able to use Microsoft office
+ Ability to follow instructions.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.
+ Basic computer and math skills.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
