The Diesel Technology Program is a highly dynamic, student-centered program that focuses on training the next generation of technicians for the growing diesel industry. As a Diesel Technology Instructor at MCC will prepare and teach a full range of MCC Diesel Technology Program certified by the ASE Educational Foundation. The Instructor will be impacting the diesel repair and trucking industries will be felt through collaborating in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

Required Qualification
8 years of FT related occupational experience
OR
approved Journey-worker status
OR
4 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Associate's degree in career field
OR
2 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Bachelor's degree in discipline or related discipline.

•ASE Master Technician Certification is required for ASE Educational Foundation program certification.
•Experience in diesel repair, including ancillary systems (e.g. undercarriage, climate control, emissions, hydraulics, etc.) required.
•Experience in truck, heavy equipment and/or power generation equipment required.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in dealer level heavy equipment and power generation, and experience in leading diesel training or instruction.
Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion, and the use of the classroom experiences to enhance workplace understanding and performance.
