Direct casting operator job description example 1

SITE Staffing direct casting operator job description

Shift: 2nd (2pm to 10:30pm) or 3rd Shift (10pm to 6:30am)

Pay: $19/hour

This individual will be responsible for achieving quality castings in the operation of a low pressure casting unit. The position will include machine cycle start, and removing of hot castings from mold.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure that production equipment and material specification are functioning within operating parameters correctly

2. Ensure the production equipment is producing castings that meet CF standards

3. Observes machines and equipment for malfunction and makes adjustment to run at maximum efficiency and/or notify casting lead person

4. Completes all production paperwork to improve production methods and equipment performance

5. Identifies scrap and segregates it from production. Records and disposes of discrepant material.

6. Performs furnace cleaning

7. Ability to do all job functions as outlined in the functional job analysis
