Associate Director of Employer Engagement

Reporting to the Director of Career Services, the Associate Director of Employer Engagement is responsible for advancing employer/alumni development and engagement strategies to measurably impact the outcomes of student hiring in internships and post-graduation employment. This individual will help create a strong vision for employer development and engagement, with a focus on developing and cultivating employer relationships that lead to internships and hiring opportunities for all Kean University students. The Associate Director develops policies; acts on behalf of the director in their absence; and does related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and two years of relevant professional experience is required. A Master's degree and supervisory experience is preferred. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to speak in public; and a commitment to advancing students' holistic development, particularly as it relates to career issues and experiences.

What you'll do

As a GES Employment Tax Senior, you will:

+ Work on a wide range of client engagements and perform research, write technical advice, project management and compliance activities whilst exceeding expectations.

+ Support employment tax due diligence, advisory, planning and compliance services.

+ Identify engagement opportunities and coordinate with engagement leadership to deliver the breadth of Global Employer Services to the client.

The Team

As an Employment Tax Manager, you will be part of the Global Employer Services ("GES") team. Our GES tax consultants help clients develop tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their international and domestic needs. Our consultants come from global mobility, compensation and benefits backgrounds and work with clients to streamline business operations while managing the scalability, risks, and costs of programs. Our team offers a full range of services and guides clients through their processes, technologies, and strategies.

Qualifications

Required

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources, international business, finance, economics, cross-cultural studies, or other liberal arts majors; ideally, with a related minor degree (for example, an accounting major and human resources

+ minor)

+ 3+ years of experience in employment tax, global personal income tax compliance and consulting, global compensation rewards, transactions, mobility consulting, and/or global talent strategy consulting

+ Experience in managing client relationships

+ At least one of the following accreditations is preferred:

+ Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office

+ Licensed attorney

+ Enrolled Agent

+ Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Reporting to LIRS' CEO, the Director for Employment Services will hire and lead a team to expand employment services for immigrants and refugees. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a sustainable business model and operations for an employment agency including identifying gaps in the marketplace that LIRS is uniquely positioned to fill, partnering with agencies to identify skilled talent, and managing compliance with local, state and federal laws.

This is a new division and the ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable juggling multiple tasks including business development and recruitment, developing strategy and performance goals, and maintaining compliance with the laws and regulations governing the staffing industry.

DUTIES

+ Establish processes, define targets, create budget, determine pricing strategy and revenue/profit goals, and identify necessary resources to create and run an LIRS employment agency.

+ Identify industry and businesses to develop employment opportunities and promote the hiring of clients.

+ Determine appropriate staffing levels required to meet goals. Hire, train, motivate, and retain staff.
