About the Role
As an Assembler in the Prehung Door Shop, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling various casings and jambs per order specifications with hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Starting at $16.50/hour!
Day-to-day responsibilities
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely
Using appropriate machine to bore and route hinge placements for interior doors
Pick and pull production material
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Skills we are looking for
Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
Safe, reliable, self-starter attitude

Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties

Job Summary

Set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines for metal products, components, or assemblies.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

* Turn and press knobs and buttons or enter operating instructions into welding machines. 25%
* Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. 20%
* Load or feed work pieces into welding machines to join or bond components.10%
* Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.5%
* Inspect, measure, or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.20%
* Record operational information on specified production reports.3%
* Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.2%
* Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.10%
* Other duties as assigned by Supervision.5%

Education and Experience Profile

* High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience.

Required Skills

* Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
* Basic mathematical and mechanical aptitude
* Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction from other team members.

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
