**What you'll do**
+ Assist in the design and development of engaging and technically accurate training materials adaptable for various training environments
+ Instruct technicians on industry best practices, company standards, and proper techniques for working with underground utilities and plants
+ Assess technician competency through written exams and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback and necessary remediation while on-site
+ Deliver comprehensive, multi-modal training (classroom, practical lab, on-the-job/field) on all aspects of underground telecommunications plant, including trenching, excavation, conduit placement, cable pulling (coaxial, fiber optic), splicing, enclosed space work, and hardware installation
+ Coordinate all logistics around booking and scheduling with local site management to ensure training schedules are met efficiently across multiple locations
+ Adapt training delivery methods and schedules to accommodate varying local operational needs and crew availability
+ Maintain detailed, accurate records of all training sessions, attendance, technician performance, and certifications using mobile or remote platforms
+ Collaborate remotely with Training and Field Operations management to identify skill gaps and report training results and compliance status from the field
+ Champion a strong safety culture by training rigorously on OSHA and company safety regulations, particularly those related to trenching and excavation safety, enclosed space entry, and the safe operation of underground equipment
+ Ensure all training activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, performing on-site safety audits during training sessions
**What you'll need**
+ To be 18 years of age or older
+ Authorization to work in the United States for this company
+ A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record are mandatory. Class A CDL is preferred
+ 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Underground Telecommunications Field Operations
+ Proven knowledge of underground plant construction and hardware, with expertise in safe trenching, excavation, and conduit/cable placement

+ Prior experience as a technical Trainer or Field Supervisor/Lead responsible for mentoring across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, splice, and test fiber optic cables in aerial, underground, and indoor environments during overnight hours.
Respond to emergency outages and relocations requiring night-time intervention to restore or reroute connectivity.
Terminate cables utilizing approved methods and connectors; prepare fiber tails, mid-sheath, and trays; organize closures (tap, B/D closure, OFDC, etc.).
Perform and document testing using OTDRs, IOLM, Power Meter/Light Sources, and VFLs; Chromatic Dispersion and PMD testing experience preferred.
Read and interpret fiber design prints, fiber matrices, and engineering documentation for night projects.
Troubleshoot and isolate network faults to restore service quickly.
Complete daily truck inspections, maintain clean and stocked work vehicles, and ensure readiness for night deployment.
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response.
Communicate professionally with dispatch, leadership, and customers.
Ensure all work complies with company, customer, local, state, and federal safety standards.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by leadership to support night operations.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in fiber optic construction, installation, or splicing.
Proficiency in fiber testing equipment and splicing techniques (fusion and mechanical).
Strong troubleshooting and outage management skills under time-sensitive conditions.
Ability to identify fiber counts, colors, and routing requirements.
Familiarity with relocations and rerouting practices for fiber systems.
Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and digital testing/reporting platforms.
Valid driver's license required; must pass DOT, drug, background, and MVR screenings.
Ability to safely operate bucket trucks and tow trailers at night.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands
Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs frequently; up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and enter/exit vehicles and equipment during night work.
Perform repetitive hand and arm movements; manual dexterity required.
Visual acuity for close-up work, color identification, and cable inspection.
Work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors at night under varying weather conditions.
Maintain stamina to perform extended overnight shifts and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Atlanta Mission Critical team. Work location may be in Atlanta or on projects in various locations based out of Georgia. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
* Develop project business plan
* Work with field management to generate job specific safety plan for the project
* Serve as the main point of contact for the Engineer and Architect
* Work with Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to identify and implement all contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting requirements
* Create staging, logistics, and phasing plan for project
* Lead coordination of subcontractors
* Set up bonding and/or Subguard, change order log, and cost tracking for the project
* Set up project in E1 and Prolog software
* Responsible for project startup, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization
* Facilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization/startup meetings
* Issue and administer subcontracts (payments, insurance, bond, safety, haz-com, etc.) and purchase orders for multiple trades
* Assist in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule. Attend/direct regular job scheduling meetings
* Lead responsibility for project quality control plan implementation and compliance
* Conduct bi-weekly safety surveys with project superintendent
* Prioritize, review, and expedite submittals
* Expedite material deliveries according to project schedule requirements
* Understand quantity updating and work with Superintendents to maintain accurate labor forecasts
* Develop and administer subcontractor and purchase order change orders
* Review projections, labor reports, safety documents, and schedules on a monthly basis
* Review and approve material/equipment invoices according to project budget
* Prepare payment requests and monitor collections
* Meet with city and state agencies to review project and inspections
* Attend OAC progress meetings and create monthly status reports
* Enter and update information in project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFI's)
* Manage and oversee job close-out documentation and procedures (closeout documents, final job report, and final accounting)
* Mentor and train assistant project managers and co-op/intern students
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field
* Minimum of 4 years of construction experience
* Data Center construction experience preferred
* Able to perform Assistant Project Manager duties proficiently
* Experience managing all aspects of construction projects including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical
* Working knowledge of Prolog and other construction software
