    JOB TITLE: Applied Behavior Analysis Apprentice POSITION TYPE: Both part-time and full-time opportunities available Peoria Service Center, 507 E. Armstrong Ave., Peoria, IL 61603 Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Position Overview Ready to turn your graduate-level ABA training into real clinical experience? Designed for students actively pursuing their BCBA, this apprenticeship provides supervised practice, hands-on learning, and a supportive environment where your skills (and your confidence) can take root! The ABA Apprentice supports Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) by providing direct and indirect services within the Applied Behavior Analysis department. Under the supervision of a BCBA, the Apprentice assists with treatment, evaluation, supervision, and parent training to address behavior challenges and skill development in children. This apprenticeship provides structured, hands-on experience designed to build clinical competence and gradually increase independence while accruing supervision hours toward Board Certification in Behavior Analysis. Apprentices also function in a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) capacity and are required to maintain a minimum saturation level of 60% combined RBT Direct and BCBA Billable Hours weekly. RBT Competencies must be met before beginning Apprentice Competencies. Education/Experience Requirements Be enrolled in their final year (12 months from the estimated graduation date) of a Verified Course Sequence at the graduate level for education in Applied Behavior Analysis. Maintain passing grades in all ABA coursework. A minimum of one year of proven successful experience in the area of pediatric behavior therapy, preferred. Job Functions: Provides direct ABA therapy to clients in the capacity of an RBT. Develops individualized treatment plans that are accountable, measurable, and result in meaningful changes. Engages in quality assurance activities as directed by the Supervising BCBAs which includes the supervision of clients and staff in direct sessions, writing and updating treatment programs that match recommendations based on evaluations. Conducts Parent Training to assist parents in implementing programming and behavior reduction goals. Completes required clinical initial and re-evaluations as needed or on a minimum of 6-month basis. Completes all evaluations, treatment progress notes, discharge summaries, and all other required documentation in accordance with the Easterseals Documentation Policies. Marginal Responsibilities: If directed, participates in onboarding, initial and ongoing training for BTs. Provides adequate and appropriate training and supervision to RBTs for specific clients in accordance with all applicable laws, standards, and regulations. Develops and presents community education and/or training as needed. Other duties as assigned. Be familiar with the current fieldwork experience and supervision requirements outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Demonstrated experience with families who have children with developmental delays/disabilities, preferred. Advanced knowledge and skill necessary to independently provide evaluations and treatment plans related to credentialed/licensed field of practice. Ability to oversee and direct team members' case assignments and provide timely performance-related feedback. Working knowledge of personal computers and software (MS Office Suite). Position Objective: Program Staff at Timber Pointe facilitate the epic camp FUN- creating limitless adventure, magical moments, and life-changing experiences for individuals with disabilities and life-altering illnesses through adaptive and intentional camp activities. Program Staff learn and utilize effective facilitation techniques, activity adaptations, and leadership skills to guide campers to create, bond, explore, imagine, soar and achieve. Program Staff are trained to belay and facilitate our zip line, rock wall, and giant swing during Program Staff Development Week, and are cross-trained in all other program areas, including canoeing, archery, science, sports/games, art, and more! We ask that Program Staff attend a lifeguard certification course (if not already certified) prior to staff training, which we will fully fund. This is a very active role that requires heaping amounts of enthusiasm and creativity, as we often involve characters, costuming, performances, etc., to create unforgettable moments and, ultimately, a camp experience full of wonder and excitement. Program Staff will also rely heavily on time management and organizational skills to prepare for activities, transition groups on schedule, and clean up. Outside of activities, they will assist with camper care and help in cabins during morning routines, rest time, bedtime, and other periods as needed/assigned. Program Staff will facilitate activities for Timber Pointe day campers as well as for overnight camp sessions, which include sessions for our own Timber Pointe campers as well as sessions of partner camps with mission-adjacent organizations, such as MDA Camp for children with muscular dystrophy, and more. Staff members are required to live on-site during the season but may leave during off-times. Meals will be provided throughout each camp session (we are inclusive and accommodating of any dietary restrictions), and a refrigerator/microwave will be available for use. Cabins are climate-controlled, and laundry facilities are available on-site. In addition, camp staff may use watercrafts (canoes, kayaks, etc.) and the pool during off-times if there is no programming running and all camp policies regarding the use of these areas are followed. Complete required paperwork and documentation, including incident/accident reports, rope logs, etc. Assists with set-up, decorating, clean-up, mealtimes, dishes, bringing luggage to/from cabins. Marginal Responsibilities: Attends and participates fully in mandatory training (“Staff Development”) at the beginning of summer, learns and retains information presented in a variety of learning environments (including role-play scenarios), and utilizes this knowledge to provide the best possible experience for campers/guests. Participate fully in the camp program, including leading or assisting with activities, managing behavior, following the daily schedule, engaging with campers during “down times,” and putting an enthusiastic effort into camp traditions, dress-up days, songs/cheers etc. (the goofy parts of camp that make it truly magical!) Possibility of mentoring/coaching volunteers, Counselors-in-Training or other camp staff. Education/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid is required. Candidates without a current certification must be willing to complete a course. If certification is not obtained before their first day on site, Program staff will be required to complete the course during one of the scheduled training weeks before campers arrive. From day camps, overnight summer camps, partner group camps, and weekend family retreats there's a camp fit for everyone. Timber Pointe is a wonderful and unique resource available to the Central Illinois community. We offer overnight rentals in our cabins and lodges as well as day use for corporate meetings and events. We offer activities and team building exercises for groups. We are also a picture-perfect wedding venue. Position Objective: Easterseals' Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is looking for healthcare heroes to join us in providing life-changing, empowering, and safe camp experiences for individuals of all ability levels at our beautiful 170-acre lakeside property! The Camp Nurse is responsible for overseeing the health and safety of campers and staff and providing health care to meet the individual needs of campers and camp staff. Employment Dates and Position Pay: The Sunday Check-in Days: When working Sunday Check-in days, compensation is an hourly rate of $25.00 - $30.00.
