Summary of Major Functions:
Provide and maintain structure for Intensive Outpatient Program as well as the Partial Hospitalization Program. Services include conducting psycho-educational groups, facilitating meals and meal processing, documentation, and encouraging a therapeutic milieu.
Knowledge:
Must have a basic understanding of the therapeutic process that patients experience during program hours, understand confidentiality laws, and have a strong knowledge of professional ethics. Must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and be able to work with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds. Must demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, independent thinking, enthusiasm, and non-judgmental attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of and practice of effective counseling skills.
Facilitates meals with patients in a fashion consistent with the treatment philosophy of EDCare; Models appropriate eating behaviors during assigned mealtimes with patients.
Contributes clinical information and observations about patients in weekly staffing.
Facilitates integration of new patients into the program by demonstrating knowledge of all aspects of the clinical program.
Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport.
Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
Maintains group curriculum for psychoeducational groups according to EDCare clinical standards.
Is creative in therapeutic interventions to maintain a safe, supportive, clinically sound milieu.
Is present and available for patient requests and needs. Provides outreach to patients when necessary.
Maintains daily program structure.
Conducts check-ins and check-outs with patients.
Facilitates therapeutic outings.
Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork: progress notes, group notes etc.
Ensures completion of daily attendance sheet for billing purposes.
Takes responsibility for opening and/or closing the facility.
Phone coverage (answering the phones, transferring calls) as assigned/needed.
Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Master's degree in behavioral health field preferred, bachelors required.
CPR Certification within 90 days of hire required.
Minimum of six months experience working in therapeutic milieu preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills preferred.
Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnoses preferred.
Treatment orientation and approach that aligns with that of EDCare, preferred.
Computer Skills:
Must be able to effectively maneuver within an office scheduling system.
Minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system.

Role Overview:
Responsible providing individual, family, and group therapy services in acute care settings for youth and adolescent clients experiencing a range of emotional and behavioral challenges. The Clinical Psychologist will complete psychological screening and assessments across programs. Services will include providing evaluation, consultation, and monitoring of individuals receiving involuntary care. Essential Duties:
Conduct age-appropriate clinical interviews, screenings, psychological assessments, and testing in acute care programs.

Required:

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist with a passion for spine care to join our team in a unique, dual setting position. This role offers the opportunity to work embedded within our neurosurgery team in Lafayette for 1-2 days per week, collaborating directly with surgeons and providing specialized care.
