SUMMARY
This position operates various pieces of equipment to fabricate materials (Punch, Plasma, Ficep, Saw, Drill, Bridgeport, Tap, Pipe Tap) per specifications in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Monitoring machine performance and efficiency are essential.
This is a first shift position with the hours of Monday - Thursday, 5:00am- 3:00pm with mandated overtime based on business need.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Must be able to set up and run in all fabrication work areas
* Understand how to manage daily work expectations and goals
* Understand, interprets, and follows foreman's report including priorities and start dates
* Understand how to read material sheet tags and determines material types and gauges
* Understand cross check concepts and inspects product according to Inspection Control Plan
* Follow all safety policies and standards
* Is capable and willing to train other employees
* Understand non-conforming process according to SOP-0003
* Maintain accurate and timely system transactions
* Can inspect and clean equipment including all preventative maintenance
* Inspect own work for quality standards
* Other duties may be assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* The individual must have exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
* On-the-job training will be provided for new operators regarding safety procedures, how to use the machines and how to operate the computer program.
* Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
* Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
* Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
* Have completed forklift certification training with safety team to operate a forklift
* Can record time accurately including "time and attendance" and "labor reporting" using the data collection system
* Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
