*Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: *

* Working from bill of material (B.O.M.) and assembly drawing(s), obtain parts and components necessary for assembly. Check for damage to all components prior to assembly.
* Lay out, plan and perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical assembly installations consisting of but not limited to mechanical fastening of mechanical and electrical components to equipment enclosures, terminating, routing, and marking wiring to complete electrical circuits.
* Cut wire to specified lengths, using wire cutters; Crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping device; complete connections with required markings and insulation.
* Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wiring, switches and connections, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments.
* Use common assembly, hand and power tools, drills, soldering equipment and measuring devices such as ohm meter, volt meters, continuity testers and test bench equipment as required.
* Perform inventory control procedures, verification of on hand balances and report part discrepancies, B.O.M. and errors.
* Read and interpret blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams and schematics as required.
* Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
* Assist Fabrication when needed. Drill holes, clean surfaces, shipping and receiving.
* All other duties as assigned.

*Experience/Skills Required: *

* Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail
* One (1) year minimum experience in a similar position. 3PH Electrical and Assembly.
* Experience assembling mechanical systems and/or electromechanical systems
* Analytical and good working method to analyze an assembly error
* Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment

Mechanical Electrical Assemblers Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $18.00 to $20.00 /hour
  • Full Time and Part Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:00am)
  • Perform mechanical/electrical assembly and installation of electronic devices consisting of wire harnesses, circuit boards, power supplies, product labels, hardware, and various components into chassis.
  • Assemble components to specifications through the use and operation of standard and specialized hand tools, as well as power and air-impact tools in order to install, fit, and adjust parts within established guidelines.
  • Use overhead cranes to move products and equipment.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, Atlas torque machine.
  • Identify assembly problems.

Mechanical Electrical Assemblers Qualifications:

  • One year experience working in a mechanical/electrical work environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Experienced with various tools is a plus.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check

General Description:


The incumbent is responsible for medium to heavy assembly which consists of installing critical engine components in a variety of engine systems or generator set components. The incumbent is also responsible for the assembly of large generator packages, wiring of control panels for the generator packages, and the construction of Canopy containers to house the generator packages.


Responsibilities:
  • Daily tasks and assignments are provided by normal routine leadership or working with established procedures.
  • Activities involve moderate system proficiency and data input
  • Normal routine adjustments with equipment and a normal level of problem identification and resolution are necessary in performing job.
  • Communicates effectively with inter/intra shift employees. Daily contact may also require a wide range of contacts within and outside the company.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience with hand tools or various power tools (which could include hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical)

Top Candidates will also have:
  • One year of previous assembly or troubleshooting/repairing/operating equipment experience
  • Cat computer systems such as MES (basic skills/knowledge, capable of functioning independently)
  • The ability to work safely and maintain that focus throughout the day
  • Excellent communication skills as this position requires daily communication with supporting departments as needed to ensure their work is correct and accurate
  • Previous automotive experience
  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Experience reading and understanding factory orders, blueprints, schematics, work tickets, torque specifications.
  • Experience with standard work instructions (basic skills/knowledge, capable of functioning independently)
  • Experience with assembly requirements for all parts and assembly procedures (basic skills/knowledge, capable of functioning independently)

Physical Requirements:
  • Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast pace, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.
  • Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours.
  • All positions also require the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.
  • Some positions require the ability to perform tasks on a moving conveyor under time constraints.
