Responsibilities:
Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment
Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs when required
Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery
Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches
Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problem
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant
Document and track changeover times and record
Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency
Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to ensure a safe work environment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years experience in a maintenance of Can Assembly Presses within a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Maintenance and repair of waxers, scroll shears and Cone Top presses.
Electrical Experience
Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges
Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills

Electrician technician job in Ocala, FL
Hospice of Marion County, a part of Empath Health is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Equipment Tech I to join our DME team in Ocala, FL. In this role, the DME Technician is responsible for the delivery and set-up/assembly of medical equipment and supplies and also for the pick-up/disassembly of the equipment when it is no longer needed. This position will provide education to patients and caregivers on the proper, safe use of the equipment. In addition, the DME Technician will work within the DME warehouse cleaning and moving DME items.
What you'll Do
Deliver and set up equipment. In addition, will instruct patient/caregiver on basic use and maintenance of equipment to ensure safe use and care in patient setting
Communicate with patients and families in a clear and respectful manner, providing exceptional customer service.
Adhere to Empath Health policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations. This includes Joint Commission accreditation standards, HIPPA requirements, OSHA and Emergency Staffing Procedures.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, oxygen manifest, delivery tickets and all other related paperwork and electronic inventory, routing, and tracking updates throughout each shift.
Perform work duties within the DME warehouse(s), including but not limited to: Cleaning equipment and maintaining stock, receiving new items, cleaning and organization of the warehouse.
Perform thorough inspection on each item for quality assurance.
Record performed maintenance in inventory control system.
Repair broken or damaged DME. Report all damaged/discarded items to Warehouse Lead
General cleaning and organization of warehouse.
Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles in a clean and orderly fashion with accurate inventory. Detailed daily vehicle inspections and weekly mechanical inspections are required.
Complete Smith Driving School training and adhere to driver safety guidelines and accident reporting procedures. Technicians will comply with all local, state and federal traffic laws.
Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as assigned.
Work assigned on call duty on a rotating basis.
Required to safely handle soiled linen, equipment, and trash in accordance with Empath Policy.
Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Lead or DME Manager.
Must be available to work during weather or other emergency situations, including for other Empath Health DME locations.

What You'll Need
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Florida Driver's License and qualified driving safety record per insurance requirements.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform strenuous work.
Physical stamina and strength to load, unload, and move medical equipment required.
Background check, fingerprinting and drug screening required for employment.
Knowledge of DME preferred.
Basic mechanical skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of streets within designated service area(s).
Good communication and time management skills.
Ability to complete routine paperwork and navigate electronic routing/inventory system
Participate in an on-call rotation, weekends and holidays as assigned.
Must be willing and able to successfully complete computer literacy evaluation.

Perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on commercial and industrial power systems, equipment, and infrastructure within mining operations, milling facilities, and fixed plant environments. Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with standards to maximize system uptime and reliability.
When on Field Service jobs you will be paid an additional rate of $10.00 per hour (this includes $5.50 per hour Field Service Premium plus $4.50 per hour meal allowance).
Essential Functions:
o Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, control panels, and lighting.
o Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment such as crushers, conveyors, mills, hoists, and fixed plant systems.
o Install, troubleshoot, and maintain AC and DC motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and related systems.
o Test, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems with knowledge of PLCs and VFDs.
o Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
o Ensure compliance with NEC, MSHA, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.
o Document all work performed, including service reports, time tracking, and expense reporting.
o Maintain tools, test equipment, and PPE in safe and proper condition.
Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent required.
o Trade school or apprenticeship in electrical studies is strongly preferred.
o Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
Experience:
o Minimum 3 years of electrical experience required.
o Practical electrical experience in mining, metals, mills, or heavy industrial industries strongly preferred.
Other:
o Knowledge of AC and DC motors (operation, troubleshooting, and repair).
o Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and/or variable frequency drive (VFD) systems for machine troubleshooting.
