Experience: o Minimum 3 years of electrical experience required. o Practical electrical experience in mining, metals, mills, or heavy industrial industries strongly preferred. Other: o Knowledge of AC and DC motors (operation, troubleshooting, and repair). o Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and/or variable frequency drive (VFD) systems for machine troubleshooting. o Ability to take after-hours calls when required. o Strong math skills including algebra, trigonometry, and analytical geometry. o Strong interpersonal skills working directly with customers in field environments. o Strong written and verbal communication skills. o Strong organizational skills and time management abilities. o Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. o Ability to multitask while coordinating multiple high-level priorities. o Knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software. o Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions. o Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures. o Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to non-routine duties. o Ability to take after-hours calls. o Overnight travel required.
