Maintains Loyola Medical Center facilities to enhance healthcare, medical education and medical research missions by performing skilled maintenance, repair, installation and fabrication tasks at the journeyman skill level for complex laboratory, processing, building systems, food preparation equipment and the pneumatic tube system equipment, stations and infrastructure

**FACILITY REPAIR:** Repairing, maintaining, and installing food service equipment (both mechanical and control components).Maintaining, inspecting and repairing all components of the pneumatic tube system. Fabricating or modifying parts, assemblies, and components for various building mechanical systems which require machining, welding, brazing, or other metal working skills. Developing and fabricating innovative methods, components and equipment to meet specialized needs.
**FACILITIES INSPECTION/PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANC** E: Supports the plant

maintenance department's objective to minimize the adverse impact deficiencies might have on building occupants by performing timely, complete, and accurate facility inspections and preventative maintenance. Typical tasks include, but are not limited to: Inspecting condition of various pieces of laboratory, processing, building systems, tube system and food service equipment. Assisting project managers, designers, and contractors performing projects which involve installation or modification of serviced equipment.
