We are in search of an Electronics Engineering Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This position will be based in either Maryland or Virginia, and will deploy to Afghanistan for 90 day shifts.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The candidate is responsible for reverse-engineering electronic circuits systems at various maturation levels. The candidate will be responsible for reporting and briefing critical finds to both military and DoD civilian leadership.

Primary Functions: Measure and report against the technical characterization and exploitation of homemade, custom and commercial-grade electronic circuits for multi-agency customers.

The regular exercise of ingenuity, creativity, analytical problem solving skills and tact will be required to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment. The candidate is required to have the following abilities:

Abilities:

- Regularly use equipment and software found in electronic laboratories (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, communication receivers, waveform generators, handheld digital multi-meters, CAD applications, etc.)

- Reverse-engineer electronic circuits to produce a working schematic, block diagram, state-flow diagram, RF characteristics, and general technical description

- Able use standard Microsoft Office software applications effectively and efficiently (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

- Able to clearly articulate the problem set and findings at impromptu meetings, scheduled in-person meetings, and teleconference meetings

- Anticipates, identifies, and solves problems independently while working well with others

- Organized, ability to multi-task while completing priorities in a timely manner

- Operating with a high degree of autonomy and efficiency

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Electrical Technology, Computer Engineering, RF Engineering, Communications Engineering, Test Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering; highly qualified technicians and ham-radio enthusiasts are encouraged to apply

- Three-to-five years of professional work experience in a relevant technical field, or one year of professional work experience with a relevant master's degree or higher

Engineering Technician - Aurora, OH - 18 Months

Note: Work shift (days/times) - Day 6 am through 2:30 pm with some OT; possible night shift 3:00 pm through 11:30 pm with a less likely chance of OT.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
•Utilizing initiative and independent judgment, construct and assist in evaluating engineering models.
•Perform basic trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution. Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions.
•Perform software and hardware evaluation and implement plans using knowledge of product, system operation, intermodal interactions, engineering tools, and interactive software tools as required.
•Utilize basic technical communications throughout the new product cycle to improve internal models and/or externally sourced components in terms of system performance, reliability, functionality, and serviceability.
•Provide evaluation, constructive feedback, and leadership in the development of internal and external engineering, manufacturing, or service documentation.
•Develop and execute training plans as required
•Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals.
•Provide technical assistance by telephone or in person to customers, field service personnel, or suppliers as needed.
•May travel to customer sites to assist in system level installations, problem resolution and diagnostics as required.
•General direction is given in the execution of job-related activities.
•Comply with EHS regulations and policies.

We are seeking to fill an immediate supervisory position as an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technician to join one of our keystone Strategic Systems Programs business teams developing Technical Information Databases (TIDB) in an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) style produced for the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and Attack Weapon System (AWS) viewed through the User Access System (UAS) for our classified customer.

The candidate will be a hands-on leader, directing a team of Subject Matter Experts, managing the TIDB technical content for procedural documentation; standard operations, fault isolation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and reference descriptive documentation. The supervisor will manage production process electronic workflows designed to write, edit, review, develop, and test U.S. and UK TRIDENT II SWS, and AWS Fleet Technical Documentation TIDBs. The candidate will administer technical information updates to the SWS Orientation course material working closely with the course lead instructor per established work instructions and policies.
